Staff very friendly and helpfull..New wing is lovely and very comfortable. Location excellent and views to die for..Just stayed the one night for my husbands birthday..but would definately book again. The main hotel is very tired but full of character. The new wing is very comfortable and tastefully decorated..perhaps a few new chairs in the bar area would make it a bit more appealing.

The young staff were generally attentive and polite and the hotel was generally warm despite the strong and cold winds. Breakfasts and dinners were good. Views from rooms facing the valley were very picturesque. The building, rooms and furniture were past their best and the whole atmosphere was one of despair and decay. The dinners were overpriced and the menu was quite restricted. The isolated location meant transport was essential.

Lovely big room, the staff were very helpful and attentive, we expect to stay again in the future. In our room the shower was in a very ackward place over the bath which meant we could not avoid making the floor very wet - we understand that the hotel is part way through a refurbishment and we hope this issue is corrected for future guests. Also the tv was tiny in relation to the room - so there was no way you could watch tv from bed if you wished to. Don't let these minor items put you off staying here though!

Traditional. Good food. Excellent staff and good overall accommodation No general dislikes of any significance. The drinks, particularly the wine, were very expensive and not good value for money.

The staff made us feel very welcome at our arrival. The suite was so big, spacious, spotless and comfortable. It would have been nice to have a mini bar though. Stunning views from the restaurant and delicious breakfast. Shame we only stayed one night! Will definitely go back! The location was good however I would have prefered if it was more set back from the main road, as you could hear the noise of the busy road. It would be nice to have a mini bar or little fridge in the suite.

Staff were all very helpful, breakfast was wonderful & we stayed in one of the rooms in the house overlooking the valley. Stunning view with a beautiful four poster bed which was very comfortable. Excellent weekend stay close to the City of Bath & the beautiful countryside around.

We needed the room for one night just on the way, and booked the room 12 hours before check-in. The price for superior double room was really great. We were surprised with room for this money. Very good value for money On Sunday morning it was quite busy in the restaurant

We had a lovely couple of days away at Rudloe Hall Hotel. The hotel and grounds were excellent and we had a really relaxing time. Complements for the excellent cuisine and friendly atmosphere. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade and stayed in the Tower suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Thank you to the hotel and all the staff for a special couple of days. I appreciate that the hotel is due for a refurbishment in the very near future and will look forward to revisiting to see what has been done. Only one minor suggestion - could the mirrors please be placed to accomodate people over 5'6'' tall. Thank you

Imposing stately main building and grounds and also able to provide apartment style accomodation in new annex suitable for families Main building needs refurbishment and the quality of the restaurant food does not match the price

“Gorgeous quiet location surrounded by lovely gardens. We didn't have time to make use of tennis courts etc but again, lovely setting for a tennis match. A country house hotel as you imagine it should be yet well placed for the larger attractions of Bath, Lackock etc and Corsham itself is worth walking around.” Judith, Ramsey, Huntingdon, Cambs |

“Our stay at this hotel was a first but will not be our last. It was welcoming and very comfortable with all the facilities excellent and the breakfast was fantastic. The views from our window was also good. On the advice of the manager we parked our car at the train station and took a train to Bath instead of driving and it was was well worth the effort and so much cheaper.” Donald, Harrow |
