Very good,
Score from 177 reviews
“ We stayed in the Tower Suite, and it was the best room we stayed in during last years. We understand that it is difficult to maintain excellent conditions in such old house when the price of the room is reasonable and we did not pay attention on trivia things. The smell was only at the second floor of the Suite and was like in old country house and even seemed pleasant. ”

The service from the staff was excellent. The room we had was comfortable. We enjoyed all our meals (see comment regarding menu limitation). We will definitely stay at this hotel again. We were in the Treetops building and felt that a covered walkway to the hall would be of benefit. The dinner menu had 3 selections based on cattle and 2 on pork but none of chicken! For older people like us, handles on the bath would be useful.

Rooms were big, staff were friendly and the dinner was excellent. Expensive for what you got, dirty mugs in the room, breakfast was cold and not freshly made.

We stayed at Rudloe Hall while exploring the Cotswolds. It was in a great location close to Castle Combe and Lacock. The staff were very nice, recommending places to see. We also found the place to be very dog friendly for our small dog. The small grounds are beautiful to walk through and the food was excellent as well. Would highly recommend it. We stayed in the newer renovation building. It was very nice and comfortable, but a little close to the road and lacked the charm of the other building. If we come back, we will definitely try to stay in the main building.

Very friendly, lovely food at good prices, lounge in main building was very nice and gardens. Lovely main building but parts were disappointing. Furniture in rooms was very nice but no protection provided from cups. The staff were very nice. In the new building surprisingly poor maintenance, all the balcony doors were warped and you could see light through the top of the doors, very drafty. Emergency light ceiling fittings full of insects, bath tile grout missing in some places. No information in rooms on hotel facilities or area. No mini bar despite being some distance from main building. Kettle took 15 mins to boil? The main building wooden bar floor had been stripped and together with a strange collection of furniture was more like a scout hall.

The Hall Is great, lovely old décor, great building, lovely grounds and Garden, views are amazing. Rooms are lovely and bed comfortable, Bathrooms were clean and large, great bath and Shower facilities. Location is great bus stop right outside on the road a4, going into Bath, Or if driving very close Although my room was fantastic, I was in the Annex House, not the old Grand House to which I believed I had booked. The whole reason I booked was because I booked to be in Rudloe hall, there, was no mention on the booking of the annex house / building, so I was very disappointed to be in there, no matter how nice it was, I wanted and thought I'd booked the old house. The Golf course had a big pile of old rubbish, wood / tables/ scrap stuff , ect, I thing you should make a concious effort to move this, as its the only thing I found wrong with the grounds, it stands out.

The warm friendly welcome from the staff. The room was a bit worn around the edges but you expect that from an old building, for us it was it had plenty of character and just what we wanted. The view out of our window was stunning with Bath in the distant. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel. Nothing

Nice location, friendly staff. breakfast ok. Apartment room layed out well. No welcome pack in our room to tell us about the hotel or what was available, we stayed in the newly built part which was nice and spacious but unfortunatly they need to get thier builders back in to reseal the french doors that let in a gale and rehang the internal doors so they fit! this is not a fault of the Hotel but of the Builders. Great to have a nice big room, but the television needs to be larger so you can see it.

Situation, size of room in main building, and there was pleasant room in new annex with good bathroom. Old fashioned bathroom (no mixer taps) T.V too small, no bulb in bedside lamp, no bulb in light over mirror in bathroom, food not up to standard for dinner and slow service but breakfast good.

The suite we had was all lovely and new and there was one member of staff who gave great service. Dinner and breaksfast was lovely Lack os support a reception to find our room. Having to remind the barperson to bring the wine over to us, poor communication generally. The furnishing in the main house really really tired.

The staff were all very polite, extremely attentive and helpful. Requested on booking a quiet room away from restaurant and lobby areas , which was provided. Room was in a wing short distance from main hotel which has been recently refurbished to a high standard. Rooms good size and bath rooms enormous with separate shower and bath. Handy for Chippenham 10-15 min drive and Bath. Not sure what was going on with the table lamp shades in the room (313) but they were all loose and not securely fixed to the base. Didn't cause a problem once lamps were switched on but could be fire hazard if shade tilts and rests on the bulb.

We stayed in the new building and our room was very comfortable, good shower, good range of products on the hospitality tray. Dinner choice, quality and presentation was very good. Only minor things such as a Shower Cap and a 2nd bar of soap in the bathroom. In would have liked to have yoghurt/fruit for breakfast although the cooked breakfast was very good.

The staff were incredible - really helpful and went out of their way to cater for us (my girlfriend was very ill, so they allowed us a flexible check out time and helped us find pain killers nearby). The food was very good too; especially the restaurant menu in the evening. The house itself is like something out of a fairy tale. But most of all, the room was incredible - we had the luxury suite in the tower, which was 3 floors of ornate furniture, breathtaking views over the valley and made it a totally relaxing environment to spend the weekend in. We loved it! The driveway in was muddy and very uneven, which made it difficult to drive my car into the grounds as it's low suspension. That's such a minimal point though and it takes nothing away from how beautiful the place is.

Warm and comfortable while being slightly run down and faded. It has an enthusiastic and helpful staff who couldn't have been kinder. Breakfast was lovely Difficult I know but there was a lot of ice in the car park a bit more salt
