wonderful spa facilities and welcoming friendly staff. we felt that the meals were overpriced and not at all good value for money - in fact we ended up eating out in local restaurants each night having tried the restaurant the first evening.

We were delighted with the wonderful historical house and its idyllic setting. The fact that a Tudor/Jacobean house and its grounds were available for people to enjoy was much appreciated. The recent addition of a spa was what originally attracted us to stay and we found that it lived up to expectations, in particular the mosaic steam- room (many are plastic-lined). We enjoyed the rattan loungers and the separate rest room at the side of the pool. Staff were lovely people and most helpful and informative. The impression was that they enjoyed working at the Hall very much. We look forward to a return visit and shall certainly recommend the hotel. We felt that the dinner menu, although very well presented and delicious was over-priced by a notch. The service, however, was extremely professional. Excellent and comfortable beds but a light duvet cover would have been preferred by my partner, who woke up cold. Regarding the facilities for tea/coffee making, would it be an idea to have extra cartons of milk, or even fresh milk in a small flask, which we have seen in places? Overall, a beautiful place to stay and enjoy, with the added bonus of wonderful ambience.

The food was excellent, expensive but of very good quality. The building is situated so well in the valley and the Chistmas decorations enhance the historical and romantic ambiance. The staff were attentive without being overpowering and they were very "practical " about my newly broken wrist. For example the spa suggested alternative treatments and the chef "carved" the meat before it reached the table. All we could complain about was the lack of the requested alarm call and turndown.

The ambiance and archtecture and grounds Service was poor. We were offered a snack menu to be deliveerd to the room and it never came. We wee ofered a turn down service that we accpeted that never happened. We had to wait for our table to be ready for dinner but were not kept a braest of what the delay was for, nor offered a menu to look at while we waited

I absolutely love this hotel! My sister and I stopped here as a birthday treat for her 30th & from the first minute we stepped through the doors, we were in love. When we arrived we found that we had been upgraded to a suite, which was a nice surprise. We then spent the day in the spa, which was heaven. The staff were amazing & every question was answered with a smile. The location is beautiful & the spa is very luxurious & relaxing. Breakfast is cooked to order & both the veggie & meat breakfasts were lovely. I would live here if I could & will definitely be back! More variety in the bar/room service menu would be good.

l loved the hotel building. It was like staying in a stately home. The grounds were beautiful and the spa was very nice. While we loved the downstairs of the hotel and the corridors we thought the bedroom was a diasappointing let down. The decor was a bit tired and the bed was one of those that you rolled into the middle. Didn't have a problem with the fact it was small but there was no imagination put into it. Have stayed in nicer B & B's for less.

La gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel C'était mon 3ème séjour dans cet hôtel et le petit déjeuner était nettement en retrait. Mais rien de catastrophique non plus...

Peceful, beautiful, relaxing The silly taps in the bathroom which you can't get hold of when you have soap on yur hands. The pop up waste in the basin does not hold water in the basin and drains away too quickly to have a wash.

The room was lovely, reception were very friendly. Had plastic in our meals at the restaurant. Very expensive meal and head waiter made a bit of a problem out of us requesting money off meal due to plastic, although we only got 10% off food only in the end, so 7 pounds off as he said ' it couldn't have harmed us'. Terrible service for such fine dining.

Sehr schönes altes Jagdschloss. Schöne Parkumgebung. Sehr ruhig und entspannend. Auch wenn es sich selbst als Gourmet-Restaurant bezeichnet ist das Essen eher durchschnittlich und Geschmacksneutral.
