Ruskin Hotel - B&B  

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room is bright and clean, with gracious service --thank you Lee, Anu, and Kay. Room is made up everyday. Shared toilet/shower were clean and availBle when I needed them. Internet connection in lounge was reliable. I recommend The Ruskin for its responsive and friendly staff, great location, and value.

Lounge and stairwells are in the process of being upgraded. Would like WiFi IN the room.

the location is 10 minutes walk from the tourist center. 7 minutes from a metro station. the tranquility of the place, the availability of staff. room clean and sanitary, bath towels at disposal. decent breakfast

No TV in rooms which was a downer, and the wifi on my iPad kept coming and going.

dirty shower tray

The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts excellent. The location is about a two minute walk to the British Museum and about 5 minutes to Russell Square Station. We were able to leave our bags there both prior to check in and after checking out. We would stay there again without hesitation.

The location was excellent

I was not aware that guests were not allowed into the rooms under any circumstances. Although I had not intended to have my guest spend the night there, If I was aware of this rule prior to booking my hotel, I would have chosen an alternate place. I was also put right across from a room that was undergoing construction, which started very early in the morning.

Spartan but clean rooms. Shared bath/shower not any problem. Staff very hospitable and helpful. Great location. Good full English breakfast.

It was well located, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, whilst a litte small, was very clean and adequately equipped. They allowed me to leave my bag there until 6pm on my departure day at no charge.

central location and yet quiet facilities, price, cleanness, wifi in the lounge, breakfast included, kettle in own room w/ fair trade coffee and tea, eco-friendly towel policy, iron/ironing board available on request

reminders not to leave any valuable items in the room. If a safe can't be provided in each room, it should be made available at reception on request. Laptops/tablets, for example, can't be carried around the whole time while visiting the city.

Perfect location to explore the British Museum, also calm and quiet.

The lift stopped working and it was still not operational when we left two days later.

The mattress was solid. The window had a gap in it and the wind howled thru it all night. The stairs to the top floor were very steep.

A very clean room with new bathroom facilities! Excellent location! close to restaurants, Starbucks, bus stops and Oxford street stores. There is an elevator that is really rare for a London hotel! Nice breakfast! It could be a little cheaper

I don't like shared toilette

Superb location right beside the British Museum and very close to Oxford St. Clean shared bathrooms and relatively spacious room by London standards. Wifi worked fine in the room I had. Friendly staff.

The air seemed quite dry for some reason which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable, but turning down the heat helped a bit.
