Hotel was very good value for money. We were attending a wedding and moved from the Rusacks Hotel to the Old Golf Hotel for the night of the wedding but we actually preferred the Rusacks. The Old Golf hotel has lovely communal facilities and a really nice cocktail bar on the 4th floor but the room was better at Rusacks. We had a lovely dual aspect room, the staff were really friendly and helpful and if I was visiting St Andrew's again, this is definitely the hotel I would choose.

Location Staff friendly Only one "Breakfast" tea bag in the room whreas plenty Green tea, Earl Gray and White tea. Two or three of each would be much better. Bath outlet very slow to clear, might need attention! Poor value for money this year compared to last time we stayed circa £30 dearer and no breakfast included which was included last time.

Location Nothing worked: towel warmer, bedside lamps, internet. We were on a very busy street and the street noise precluded sleep. The front desk clerks were very rude.

The hotel is in an excellent location, overlooking the 18th hole at St. Andrews. The service was very good and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We ate very well in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location. Friendly staff in the restaurants /bars - especially one outstanding Irish manager in the bar - good quality decor/ambience in bar /restaurant. (Roco) The lack of atmosphere in hotel itself. The cleanliness of the shower.

St Andrews location Bed was the smallest double that I have ever tried to sleep in with my wife. Overcharged for breakfast 17.50 pounds @ for a standard Scottish breakfast. Reservations were for two and room was set up for only one.

Location to the Old Course. Poor view of the Old Course. Would have liked a balcony & view. Restaurants were quite expensive. Glad I didn't wind up on the 4th tee selling Ginger Beer.

The location was fantastic, I loved the atmosphere around the hotel as it was so close to the 18th hole of the Old course. The hotel was modern and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The private car park made our arrival so much easier as we did not have to waste time finding a parking space nearby. The shower in the room was very poor. There didn't seem to be any pressure coming from the shower which meant very little water coming out. The sink drained away very slowly leaving water sitting for a short period of time.

My daughter and I had a lovely, spacious twin room, the Nick Faldo room, facing the back of the hotel. There was no outside noise. We were happy with this room as we did not care about a view of golfcourse or sea. The walls between the rooms need soundproofing.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly The situation was superb, to look over the famous 18th hole of the Old Course towards the beach was stunning The car park was a nightmare If your car is your pride and joy I would reccommend that you park elsewhere

Lovely hotel which had a very relaxed atmosphere and extremely helpful staff. Loved the golf theme. The number of people seating guests and serving them during breakfast could have sped up the breakfast period although it certainly didn't detract from our stay.

We had a nice stay at the hotel. It was handy for the golf course, beach, and shopping. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful One of our rooms (3 booked in total) was not ready for 2pm and they said it would be ready in 15 mins then changed their minds to half an hour, which did not suit as we had reservations elsewhere, thus one of our party had to change in our room .

Great location. I love the sea air. The ambiance on the Reception level is charming. My confirmation said they had WIFI access but didn't mention the exorbitant sum. The staff were courteous and helpful but more than one was not especially friendly (and no, I wasn't complaining). The bathroom is tiny, from the early 20th century.

Location and style of receptions rooms. Nice bar & restaurant. Food in the One under was good. Staff Helpful. Bedrooms a bit on the small side, and no where to put a suitcase! Tea pot to small! No Radio 2 on TV/Radio.. Prices in Bar and also for Breakfast.. Also charge to use credit card is disproportionate.
