stayed in 2 dog friendly rooms, very comfortable with all mod cons. Lovely breakfast and great village location. Warm and friendly staff, great to have such a high standard of hotel for a stay with our dog

We stayed just one night and had a lovely double room on the front of the building. Everything was clean and luxurious. The honesty bar on the landing where there were chairs to sit was excellent value and coffee was complimentary. The restaurant was of high standard, if a little pricey, but the food was excellent. We particulary liked the way that the Arts & Crafts design had been created in a modern fashion. We had Room 1 and just a niggle that we a consistent electrical whrrrring kept us awake somewhat which came from below our room!

Staff were very friendly. We only stayed one night although we wanted to stay two but room was perfect. Just two things we could say as a negative was tv was a bit small and there was either a boiler or a noise similar to that was next to our room which I was okay with but my husband found it a bit noisy but other than that would definitely go back and for a longer stay next time Tv was too small and noisy boiler or pipes or something was next to our room

Liked almost everything. Didn't like the "double" beds,...they are equal to a queen sized bed. I would have prefered a King or two singles for a mature couple with jetleg.

Our stay at Russell's was superb! Picture perfect location and we were upgraded to a deluxe cozy cottage. The service was excellent and the food at the restaurant was fantastic! I'd love to stay there again! Nothing to complain about

The Rooms were cold and the Bathroom heating was very poor Room % was the room we stayed in and it sounded like a herd of Elephants were walking around the room above, very noisy and totally unacceptable for a room of this level and cost.

We liked the room and its view of the main street. The breakfast was excellent Good location. The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a free coffee machine outside in hall but first thing in the morning or last thing at night when we were not dressed we would have prefered to make our drinks in our room.

The friendliest staff we have encountered in many years of travelling. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent room and facilities including huge bathroom. Great food, perfect location in the heart of the village.
