Well priced hostel with friendly staff and reasonable facilities. Recommended for budget travellers. Slightly out of town. The city centre was a good 25-30 minute walk for those who prefer not to use public transport. However I believe this is one of the only hostels in Sheffield.

Made to fell very welcome. Well stocked and well equipped, sunny kitchen for making breakfast etc. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Conveniently located for university which we were visiting Would have preferred an en suite bathroom, but for that price perhaps too much to expect! Water in shower not very hot in early evening

Good staff. Warm, clean room Took over an hour to find, there's no sign till you actually get to the hotel. Maybe have a sign at the bottom of the road as I walked straight past the road I should have gone down

Very helpful staff. Free WI-FI. Very Clean, Well equipped. Free tea and coffee any time you wanted. Great place if you don't want or need to wash!!! Plumbing needs serious attention!!! Water for bath was not very hot and very slow. Couldn't get shower hot at all. Several taps need replacing/mending. NO PLUGS ANYWHERE.

I loved the friendly athmospher, the availability in helping and the comfortable position from city centre and supermarket. Yes, of course. It had to move to a different room 3 times in a week. I think this is quite disconfortable as I could not unpack my bags. Moreover, for 2 nights I slept on the floor with just a mattress below.. I also had a cold shower and the web worked well just from the first floor. The breakfast was poor and the kitchen could have been cleaner. Ultimately, I left 5 days in advance and I've no been refunded.

I was not impressed with the hostel at all and I will not be staying there again as you didn't get any privace and the fact that you had no key to the property or the room so you couldn't leave anything in the room . I will never stay in another Russell Scott hostel either in sheffield or any other part of the country

Nothing it was terrible This was by far the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. my bed was soaking wet and stank. the place was like a prison, nothing worked and everyone was very unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone, it is utterly dire.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover the hostel had a fully stocked kitchen for guest use. The hostel supplied breakfast items as part of the charge, but the facilities were available for use at any time allowing for a significant saving on food costs during my stay as I didn't need to rely on takeaways or dining out. The outer appearance of the building had me initially thinking I may have made a mistake. Some tidying of the garden area and maybe a fresh coat of paint to the building would improve it greatly.

The stuff of the hostel is quite friendly and helpful. They are nice people. Everything was ok, but I think the hostel could have a lazy room, a place in which you can find some card plays, billar, etc...

The room was pretty comfy & had a good night sleep. The shared bathroom and kicthen were ok and free breakfast. It's tram ride and a walk to get to and it's on top of a hill! There were some other noisy guests but that couldnt be helped really.
