Price is good. 10 minutes by bus from city centre or 30 minutes by foot.
The toilet was not clean...
excellent value for money, close to the city centre, clean rooms, hot showers, what else does a person need!!
The only good thing that could be said was that it was reasonably clean
I did not like being charge 3% extra for using a debit card, could understand if it was a credit card. The continental breakfast was help yourself to toast and cereal and then wash up the dishes. You had to provide your own towels. It was cold and the temperature outside was not that cold
we liked the fact that the place was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpfull.
There was no parking places. very difficult to park, and there were no curtains in the room.
For a one night stay (dorm), the bed was extremely comfortable. The free Wifi was fast connection, wonderful after having next to no Wifi over my whole trip. Rooms were warm despite freezing night and the free DIY breakfast is substantial and good for saving a bit of cash. They were flexible to my needs (late check in) and overall pretty chill. Thankyou guys!
I had to check out early and the staff were nowhere to be seen. A sign on the door just said to leave your key on the bed, so I did and hoped it was ok! Also the hostel was quite difficult to find at night time, it's in the middle of a complicated estate and you have to climb a few hills to get to it!
Changed our booking with out asking us, no parking anywhere near the place and it said it included breakfast which actually meant help yourself to toast or cereal from the kitchen!!
I have stayed at Russell Scott in Sheffield 3 times now whilst working in Sheffield. It is a very quiet place, very comfortable, even though the rooms are very small. Their is a large variety of cereals, breads and jams for breakfast. Tea and Coffee
The rooms are small and no TV
Comfortable beds, deep foam mattress bring your bacon jobs a good un.
Parking it space for one lucky sod ( oh that was me as most people are students who can't afford to use a car over cheap train tickets)
free coffee, tea and milk and allow you to take it at anytime, not just breakfast 15 minutes walk to city center Meet a lot of nice people with different nationality at here
Nice clean place not too far from the centre of Sheffield
Room was spacious and warm. View from the window is beautiful. Hot shower worked well. Easy to get to using the supertram. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast provision was good. Staff were very friendly.
Door did lock, but was not the most secure. Could really benefit from a refurbishment. Some areas were very dusty, floor in corridor had old, dirty carpet. I had a dead squashed spider on my wall. Bedding was stained (looked like oily substance) Building is very noisy, difficult to sleep at times because it is so easy to hear others just moving around.
Location is just a tad off city centre and took quite a while to find in the night especially when google maps suggests a walk through a dark garden as a shortcut
staff: very helpful and friendly. location: very quiet environment. Tesco& I been to school that walkable. There was variety of nationalities with many purpose are very interesting!! shower temputure was unstable but, during my stay, hostel changed tempture controller of shower.
need a large public space. those walls are thin, sometime I can hear some1 talking in the kitchin.
I liked the place a lot and the atmosphere around. Might able to visit next year as well.
The benefit of staying in any hostel is the ability to self cater in kitchen. My room had pleasant decor.
No mirror in the room. The bathrooms are run down and shabby looking.
Staff Good location not so far from the city center Beds are comfortable Breakfast included People I met
The steep hill to go to the hostel
Friendly stuff, good sleep
Shower was a bit wierd
The staff here is very helpful and patient. The living environment is comfortable and clean.Thank you!
The bathroom have no window is clean than the other bathroom
Can heard ppl shores while in at during night
good price. nice staff.
the uphill to the hostle is a disaster.
Being able to meet people from all over the world. Loved the communal living use of kitchen. Comfy room - despite damp patch on wall.
It was so hard to find!. Directions need upgrading.
Breakfast option was good.
Bed bunkers were making noise and shaking. No place to put your things in.
The staff. they are helpful and considerate.
There is only heating on for 1 hour. If a guest gets wet there is nowhere to dry their clothes and putting wet clothes on is an health and safety issue. Heating needs to be available if needed.
