It was nice and close to the centre of Bournemouth, clean and tidy, and good value. i would stay there again, and while it certainly was not luxury, for £25 I would recommend it to anyone else.

Absolutely nothing to like about this hotel We weren't sure whether this was an hotel or a bail hostel! Unfriendly mistrusting staff fermented this view. WiFi should be free in all hotels!!!

I I found the staff communicative and very helpful. The facilities included an ensuite shower room at a very reasonable price. I would certainly consider returning there.

Location was fine. Receptionist and bar man very pleasant. Breakfast room staff very pleasant. Welcome at reception followed a script which was officious, and this was equally evident in the room brochure - no sense of welcome but rather a set of rules for people we would rather not have here. TV/radio needs a programme guide, too many 'adult' channels.. Carpets were dirty. Window frame not clean. Towel rail did not work, Bath plug missing so a bath was not satisfactory and yet wasted gallons of water. Owner/manager totally ignores guests even when they are making an adverse comment. Car parking charge should be shown on website to avoid surprises.

As I work in the travel industry for a major airline as a recruitment manager, I found the staff very attenative, with a very warm welcome and very informative. The hotel was very clean and had clear signs and of directions were to find amenities ie bar and lifts ect.Day and night reception which was very helpful, and could not do do enough for you.The plus side of the hotel well situated very near beach and main town area.We would recommend this hotel to those who were looking for a budget, relaxed, easy holiday/bussiness trip. Apart for the shower in rm 204 having a mind of its own,as it was scortching hot and difficult to get it to a reasonable temp (but I must apoligise because we did not report this to hotel).

Room was recently redecorated and had everything I needed for a short stay also bathroom was fresh, clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and was on road side but couldn't hear traffic. Hotel has a great location and is only a short walk from nightlife and the beach. First impression when you walk in is that it needs an upgrade. Lift is very small and can only fit 1 person with a suitcase. Carpet throughout the hotel is dirty and unappealing. Have to pay extra for wifi, though reception was good in room. Front of house staff seemed a little unprofessional but perhaps this was more the atmosphere of the reception area bringing them down.

It was clean and close to city centre. It was 75 pounds with no breakfast + we had to pay for parking in the hotel's car park another 5 pounds. Which was not on the webside.

We spent two nights in the Hotel and on our last day the weather was absolutley awfull so rather than carry our cases with us we asked if we could leave them at the Hotel until we were ready to go to the station to catch our train. We were told we could but would have to pay £2 per case!!! Never had this before anywhere!! We left taking our bags with us!!!

The shower was exellent, the bed was comfortable to. Exellent location for the shops, cinema or the pavilion theatre. I would of liked breakfast included in the price. I thought the price they were asking was too high.

It was a beautiful hotel, right on top of the shopping centre, park and beach. I would reccomend and stay again myself when I visit. The staff, especially the night porter was very helpfull and made us feel welcome. :) thankyou x There is not a bad word I can say about the hotel or staff itself, although I think car park should be free to guests.

We were here for only a two day break and found the hotel very good friendly and convenient. The only thing that put off me off was the £5 charge per night to park the car. This was the first time I had to do this in all the time we have been coming to Bournmouth. Only because of this we will not be booking this hotel again.Apart from that very enjoyable couple of days.

Great location - right in the town and very close to the main beach. Rooms are clean with a good shower. At the time of booking there was no mention of paying for car parking on the hotel's car park. £5 a day and had to be off the car park by 12 noon. Breakfast is expensive. (£10 a head) We use wetherspoon pub across town 10 minutes walk.

Russell Court Hotel is very close to both the sea-front and the city centre, and is within walking distance from the train station also, so it has very good location. The staff were unhelpful and not at all friendly. They didn't make any effort to make us feel welcome - very cold and clinical, not at all like you're on holiday. The room was small and shabby, which was expected because of the price, but did not expect there to be black mold covering the ceiling of the shower. Staff said that they would clean it and then didn't - then said they would clean it the next morning, which was no use to us because that was the day we were checking out. Staff were very reluctant to assist in any way, and it was very awkward to request that they help with anything. The room was sweltering hot, the bed was hard, and there was a lot of traffic noise from the main road outside, so it was difficult to sleep. We did everything we could to stay out of the hotel as much as possible because of the unfriendly staff and uncomfortable room. Could not have stayed there more than 1 night, so would really not recommend to anyone that wants a holiday where they can spend any time relaxing in their hotel.
