Cost of parking, convenient bus service to airport, only having to pay £5 for both there and back journeys. Choice of bar snacks as well as full buffet restaurant service. No fresh air in room, as unable to open sky light.

Bar staff were only plus. Booked through Booking.com as wanted parking, but was charged extra even though both websites make it seem that free parking was available. Hotel even charged me for extra day's parking as he could not understand the difference between night and day!!!

The price was very competitive. The location was very pretty. The room was very small. There were no complimentary biscuits with tea making facilities. My friends didnt have a window in their room which should probably have been advertised.

Free upgrade to a suite. No mini bar and replacement TV was too small for such a large room. Only two teas and two coffees in room.

Room was basic, although beds were comfortable.but at £25 what can one expect? Bit of a catch not telling people on the inbound journey (or the website?) that there is a £5 charge for transfer bus. A machine that took either debit cards or notes might reduce the frustration there. A very old radiator leak meant the carpet was very damaged and mildewed. No hot water in the shower which was deeply frustrating after a disturbed night and a long journey home ahead. Reception was bland and disinterested in any comments. Apologies without action are a waste of time. There was so much disturbance during the night it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. The fire alarm went off at 05.22 (unavoidable I expect) then someone was trying to raise the next room to catch the bus at a very early hour.

children & parents no respect for others whilst trying to get rest after a long journey. I asked one couple to be a bit quieter and they looked at me as if I had horns coming out of my head, and carried on chasing the children up the corridor.

I have stayed at Russ Hill on several occasions. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are comfortable. Very good for the price. We had a problem with our shower and were offered a change of room which we declined as we just wanted to get to bed. Early flight in the morning. Unfortunately my husband went for a shower and it would not turn off. we had to ring reception for help. We were impressed at how quickly they responded. Turned it off, could not fix but offered to move us.

Small room with no windows to see out off. Because ther isn't a lift in the hotel I can't do stairs. I had to do a ground floor room and it sounded like elephants running around on top of us when the guests upstairs were running or walking .hen we got to the hotel we were told the booking had been done but no payment made so we paid again and just hope we haven't paid twice. I don't think I would use booking .com again.i want to know what type of roomi am getting before I book.

Linen and towels were very clean. Public areas acceptable. Front of house staff not unfriendly, but not over helpfull - felt they could not care whether we were there or not Our room was bad. The bathroon had chipped hand basin and mould on bath. General cleanliness was not good. The room stank of cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. As it was a ground floor room, there was no security locks on the window to stop anyone gaining access, so we were forced to have the window closed and suffer the heat and stink of cigarette smoke. The net was grubby and again stank of cigarette smoke, and there was only one curtain which again was grubby and stank, and barely covered the window. All surfaces were sticky. The £2.00 charge for paying by debit card was not advertised when I booked, and I think it is illegal now.. You are only supossed to charge the exact cost of processing the card.
