This newly-refurbished accommodations are a 15 minute drive from Gatwick Airport, a 10-minute walk from Crawley train station and close to the center of town.
Score from 285 reviews Good
The friendly staff, the great breakfast, the area where the hotel is situated, close to the Gatwick Airport, good rail and road links to both London and the South Coast, ie Brighton. Good value for money.
Long stay Parking is a little hit and miss. They just park you anywhere and is at your own risk. It used to be much more organised.
Price proximity to Gatwick Comfort
Bed was comfy hence good nights sleep. Otherwise nothing to like!!
This hotel needs a complete renovation. Our bedroom was massive but with the smallest TV to view. Staff need training in customer service. This is the second time we have used Russ Hall but nothing has changed NEVER returning.
This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. It is mainly used by people who are travelling abroad as there is a park and ride to Gatwick airport. The whole place looks very run down and tired but in these tight economical times they probably only just manage to pay their staff.
Great location for parking close to Gatwick Airport.Good value for money too.Room was clean but a bit tired.
The room we were given was so small our luggage barely fit in.Room needs a bit of work to update it.
Staff ,comfort ,easy for a,port
Pleasant location in the middle of nowhere. Parking okay. Pleasant lounge with TV and WI-FI. Staff, except one, very friendly. Fair value for money.
WI-FI not available in bedrooms. My bedroom was quite depressing. No view and constant noise from some pipes outside my window. Only one plug in the bedroom. Bed not very comfortable.
Everything in general was very good considering the price we paid per room. The quality of the food was much better than expected as well. Couldn't fault the staff at all.
Within striking distance of London, Brighton and Gatwick and all at a very good price!
Breakfast was very good with lotsof choice. Large car park. Staff helpful

Easy parking, room, bar & eating facilities all good. Cheap. & reliable shuttle bus to Gatwick airport.
Considering proximity to airport, very quiet. Good value for a night's stay with holiday parking.
The hotel is overall a bit tired.
not easy to get parked/
Hotel a bit dated.
Seemed a bit unorganised !!
Leaving the hotel
Staff were rude. Room hadn't been renovated fro at least 10 years
Very friendly car keep safe at a reasonable price staff very helpful and food exceptional
The Buffet is good value for money. The Bar staff seem to be the only staff with any customer service, they were very good.
Having stayed a few times before (just one night before a flight) & been happy with hotel/ parking etc, I just automatically booked again when we had an early morning flight.........never again! How can you have such extremes in one hotel, we chose the extra large bed option which YOU offered only to arrive to two singles, good start to a romantic holiday away!!!!! To be honest room 405 is a disgrace, it smelt & looked far from clean & it is very shabby ( no chic here!) Is this you new policy, to let these very poor standard rooms to travellers who are only with you for a few hours so they're less likely to complain? We are also surprised how much customer service has gone down since we last stayed, with the exception of the very smart, helpful and friendly man who is usually on shift when we leave in the very early hours of the morning, everyone else looks & behaves like they are hating every second of their day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the convenience of being a short distance from gatwick airport. good food and drink in restuarant. pleasant staff and very helpful.
decor needs updating. bunk beds in family room werent really that stable and comfortable. room was very cramped.
The reception staff were absolutely brilliant, we had some queries and they were very efficient and very helpful.
Excellent parking, able to keep keys, Friendly, Good value for money, Quick in and out.
All is good , Poor WIFI connections.
Nothing much. I would never stay here again.
Room was very hot and only way to cool it down was to open the window. This greatly increased the noise of aircraft flying into/out of Gatwick every two minutes. So we could boil in the room with the window shut (it only opened 200mm anyway), or suffer jet noise. Either way we could get no sleep! The fabric of the actual building and external decor is in very sad state.
ROOM WAS DIRTY, STAINED, TIRED, UNCOMFORTABLE, AS WAS BATHROOM, HOTEL OVERALL. STAFF NEED CUSTOMER TRAINING! BREAKFAST WAS BASIC AND FOOD QUALITY WAS AWFUL. FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME STAY.
all ok based on price for area
