Located on the North Shore, just a short walk from the centre, this well-run, attractive and welcoming hotel ticked all the boxes. Lovely staff who were exceptionally polite and helpful; lovely, roomy bar area and comfortable bedrooms - couldn't ask for more.
Location and clean.
The location, staff, breakfast and the cleanliness of the place
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean. Tram stop outside great with family ticked.
Bedroom very small and dated decor. Wardrobe space very limited. A lot of stairs.
A great location for famalies, a nice quiet location yet just a short walk to the centre of Blackpool - very nice friendly staff who serve a fantastic breakfast - will be going again
beautiful and clean throughout the hotel.friendly staff excellent food
Very nice hotel in a great location friendly staff and very clean and spacious hotel. Will defiantly book again
Loved the Bar and Dining Room. The Food was Delicious. The Friendly Staff. The Location.
The Shower in our room was too small.
Friendly owners Kay and Adrian and pleasant staff, clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. Good breakfast, plenty to eat!. Comfortable lounge upstairs with bar and views out to sea. Cuddly dog was a nice bonus while sitting and chatting to owners. Will be back next visit to Blackpool :)
Pet hate of standard size shower cubicle in spacious bathroom but plenty of hot water. No complaints though and would definitely stay there again. Was holiday season so parking difficult on street and expensive in adjacent hotel car park but would rather pay than risk car getting damaged.
Staff were so friendly, made to feel really welcome. Hotel was immaculate, beds were comfortable.
We stayed at The Rutland in July 2014 and really enjoyed our time there. The owners were friendly and instantly make us feel welcome. Our rooms was clean and a nice size, perfect for the 2 of us. Breakfast was great and there was the option of going for either a full english or continental. The weather was lovely and it was great sitting in the bar with the windows open looking onto the beach. The hotel is really near a tram stop which makes it really handy to get into the centre - it's only a 5 minute journey. I'd definitely recommend the hotel :)
The Rutland Hotel was excellent value for money. The staff were all lovely & welcoming. Great location with tram & bus stops right outside hotel. Hotel very clean, breakfast was fab & great having a bar inside hotel at the end of our busy day sightseeing to have a nice glass of wine or two! Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples & families.
Our room was on the top floor & no lift! Otherwise cannot fault hotel
Very friendly & welcoming hosts & all staff, made us feel at home. Lovely, spacious lounge overlooking the sea front. Rooms were quiet. Great cooked breakfast.
Staff were so friendly, room was spotless with beautiful sea views and an excellent home cooked breakfast
everything about the hotel was excellent could not find fault with anything great place to stay
Very clean nice rooms good breakfast friendly but not in your face good location
the shower was too small was like a cupboard could not move, horrible.
the room was spotless and the staff lovely. the drinks in the bar were really reasonable and a lot cheaper than we expected.
there was a lot of stairs up to our room.
Friendly, helpful staff. Nice breakfast, and great location right on the waterfront. Free WiFi in the dining room and the lounge/bar.
Nothing wrong with the hotel, but at the time of booking, the website led me to believe that 1:Free WiFi would be available everywhere, including in the room, and 2: That the hotel had a private parking space so we would have no problems leaving the car for a couple of days. The WiFi was only available in the public areas, so we could not plan our day in the privacy of the room, and with only one or possibly 2 parking spaces by the hotel(Which were of course both occupied), we parked at the nearby Hilton's parking lot and paid £5 per day for parking there.
Tram stop right outside hotel making commuting easy. Good value for money.
Lounge is a bit dated. Needs a face lift
Best place we've stopped in in Blackpool.Owner fantastic rooms clean fresh & spotless. Really helpful

We liked everything about our stay at the Rutland. Reception on arrival was very friendly and remained friendly throughout our stay. Cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice in what to eat. We definately will be returning again.
