The landlady was very helpful and friendly.
Bed alittle uncomfortable as head board not attached. The b&b was clean and tidy but could do with a lick of paint.
Very good value, basic, comfy. Owner such lovely lady, very accommodating and helpful
Would have preferred ensuite but knew it wasn't.
Could not find it and staff were hopeless giving any direction. I wish that I had paid that bit extra to get better. Booking suggested full english breakfast that was never available.
Friendly family (staff)
Yvette, the owner of Ruxley Rooms and Chantelle were so friendly. We walked in and were welcomed with open arms and a towel! It had been raining and we were soaked. Yvette rushed to get my child a towel to get dry with. She was so friendly the whole of our four day stay. We couldn't have been more welcomed. At the weekend breakfast was later, but we didn't realise so she did us a special one early.
TV & wifi signal was hard to get, but we loved the people so much, it didn't really matter.
Rooms need some renovation, creaking doors in bathroom, "everyday essential" breakfast from the nearest ASDA.
The room was a great size, clean and warm. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and accommodated my many dietary requirements. It wasn't the Ritz but if I had wanted that level of accommodation I would have booked it. Great value for money.
The only thing I would like to see is a bathroom in the room as the rooms are certainly large enough to have their bathroom.
A warm welcome from our Jamaican hosts. A clean room and free wifi. Off street parking. Adequate continental breakfast.
The venerable mattress was comfortable but it creaked when you moved. A minor matter when one considers the very reasonable price.
Free wifi, helpful hosts, the shower and toilet facilities
The window wouldn't shut, the bed duvet was too small for my size, the tv didn't work
Location and friendliness of staff.
Perhaps a better breakfast.
The place is warm and cozy, and conducive.
The second day breakfast was too early. I couldn't make it to the breakfast.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. I had very good quality sleep as it was so quiet at night due to the location of the cottage.
TV aerial needed tuning as kept losing signal and sound wasn't syncronized with the videos.
Friendly helpful owners, waited up for us when we arrived a bit late. Simple comfortable accommodation, good breakfast. Great value and a nice family feel to the place.
The owner lady was lovely great to be able to park on the premises A good price
Sharing a bathroom Door did not fit (not sure it was a fire door) it let in the landing light which was on all night Light switch loose on wall, trailing leads as few sockets Floor and inside of cupboards and draws very dirty only 1 towel for 2 people Noise from other occupants (snoring and mobile phones) Could not have a good nights sleep No milk to make tea, the coffee sachet had milk and sugar, no alternative available
Warm room and comfortable bed
No light bulb in room. Badly fitting bathroom door and inadequate and broken window blind. No sink plug and cold tap moved. Only a single cup in room. No chair. Scruffy decorations.
No on suite
They were very polite and welcoming
Made to feel welcome by this family run hotel and given a room with en suite facilities which was much better than the expected shared facilities.
Cannot fault the hotel for value. Don't expect the Ritz.
Made to feel welcome staff very friendly and helpful will definitely stay here again
She was very helpfull
At night , difficult to find
The wifi was not used. I liked the homely feel, friendly staff. Value for money
The room we were in neede refinement. There was evidence of maintenance but the work did have the best finish. Ensure facility would have been better. I would be prepared to pay more for it
The lady that greated us was very friendly, a very nice lady.
The room was in need of redecorating, I wasn't keen on sharing a bathroom. Breakfast is very basic, cereal, toast.
Owner very friendly and welcoming! Towels changed every day. Bedding alternate days. Value for money.breakfast fine.
Rooms small and wooded corridors noisy.
