My single had a bath, my friends only had a shower. Adequate storage and good design made use of very little floorspace. Bathroom good wih heated towel rail, good quality towels and toiletries.
No heating in rooms.I was woken up at 5.30am by leg cramps caused by being too cold. Wake up call booked - never happened. My room palatial compared to my friend's. Very expensive mini-bar and food prices.
I like the staff and rooms
rooms were a little warm and the air conditioning was too noisy to keep on at night
The size of the room was very comfortable. The location was close to train/subway connections. Restaurants and shops nearby. Very pleasant stay.
Location is excellent
Room was quite small Lots of steps at entrance of hotel makes it difficult when you have suitcases - in addition the front doors are heavy and not automatic again making it cumbersome with cases.
Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Reception area was lovely. Unfortunately we had noisey neighbours who were shouting to each other through the windows of the hotel and we could hear next doors tv. Noise stopped by 11.30. Beds were really comfortable though.
Location , staff every thing is great
Location Decor of hotel Friendly staff
Room perfectly adequate if a little small
Lovely comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast and handy location.
At first we were given a basement room which was dark and unpleasant. Thankfully we were changed immediately to a higher floor when we asked.
Staff excellent position excellent nice hotel the bar in the hotel was very good and very friendly staff
the hotel is getting old difficulty getting suitcases in and out of the hotel the restaurant was just average
Cleanliness of room, spacious & modern. Welcoming staff. Excellent location for Albert Hall & Oxford Street a short bus journey.
Expensive breakfast we eat for half the price minutes down the road.
Comfortable bed . Great breakfast . Helpful staff . uses at door and metro along road . Access to all necessary items and restaurants.
Location is good with stores nearby like Paul, Waitrose and Tesco. Famous museums are all within walking distances.
We asked for a room with a bathtub, but we were given one with a shower. They did change our room on the following day though.
Very nice servers, esp the young lady who works in the bar.
Did not get my wake-up calls.... Twice! Wi-Fi should be complimentary.
They swapped our room which was an executive t a normal double & a single on day arrived so no warning & not even a drink t compensate also thought we had full breakfast but only got continental staff unhelpful for the money not impressed!!
Polite and friendly staff. Great location near Gloucester Road tube station. Nice decor, comfortable beds, quality toiletries, free wifi, rooms are small but quite comfortable with all needs met.
Our room number was mixed up with someone else and although we booked including breakfast, our name wasn't on the list due to this issue. It was a big fiasco in more wats than one but luckily it was sorted since we carried a copy of our booking with us. A full English will cost you £20 but there are several cafés nearby where you can get a full a English for £5.95 a
location was good for kensington, knightbridge and within easy reach of central london via tube lines/ buses. confortable bed and good in-room facilities (TV, wifi, bar, desk and confortable bed). Breakfast was good and extensive and dinner in the Jam tree restaurant was very tasty too. the loyalty card gives you 20% off which i would recommend getting (its free to sign up). restaurant prices are reasonable for the area. Would stay here again for 1 or 2 nights but only if a good deal was available. Very expensive rates but can often get discounted rates through comparison sites.
I had a single room which was VERY small. The interior was tired and needed re painting. Lots of dirt and scratches along the white walls. Very easy to fix with some paint and would make a big difference. The bathroom seemed poorly designed for the size. the shower door opened the wrong way so you got totally soaked with cold water when switching it on to warm up! you could put your head over the sink because of a large glass shelf above it! very messy when trying to brush teeth! Just a little claustrophobic overall so would not recommend for more than 1 night.
Rooms were so tiny . Too hard!
Staff were helpful and location in Kensington near to tube and buses into town is a definite plus. Lots of great eateries and cafes in South Kensington and Gloucester road area give you choices....Will definitely recommend this hotel.
Room 105...was sandwiched in between two work pantries and could be a tad noisy in the mornings....
Quieter area for a visit in August when London is so busy. Very convenient to Underground, and Hop on Hop off bus. Easy walking to good pubs and restaurants and Kensington Palace and Gardens
Staff especially at breakfast
Room size for the price
Otherwise you are in a dismal dirty basement. Bathrooms big but bedrooms very tiny ! Could barely open suitcase really! While hotel needs paint and new carpet in common areas. Would be major better impression
As stated above
The location was excellent
the bathrooms were too small. Your knees knocked on the shower screen when you wanted to use it. My husband chose to use the toilet downstairs in the bar when possible as it was more comfortable
Good location, close to many historic sites. Food is good. Staff helpful.
Room noisy due to location near kitchen, minimal closet space. Room small given that it was executive king room. Was charged for full breakfast although continental was prebooked. Bar may not serve food.
Fantastic location, food fresh and wonderful. Not bad value for London
Some staff were not as friendly and helpful as the majority. Rooms very small but had everything we needed. Tiny ensuite for big Aussies !
