A good location for us, near the metro to the airport and near the gardens. The staff were responsive in helping us with a couple of issues.
My third time here and I always enjoy my stay. Lovely room in a great location. Reception staff always very helpful.
Everything - nothing to dislike about my stay
Clearing is poor no water at midnight
I attended a conference for 4 days. The facilities were poor and cramped. Light in the room was poor and acoustics were appalling as no microphone. Wifi didn't work in my room or in the conference room. Staff on reception were quite abrupt but generally ok.
Firstly, the hotel is located very close to the underground station, so very helpful for young kids. The staffs had kindness and they kindly allowed to check in earlier and deposit our luggage. The continental breakfast was good and fair. WIFI was strong.
The room charge was not cheap. As normal in London, the room was not much space. The extra double bed was not stable so sleep was not enough.
Location good for transportation. Friendly staff.
Toilet cramped. Our stay included breakfast but each morning until I showed them the booking sheet, they said we were not to have it.
Small but perfectly adequate, clean room located to the rear of the hotel, so quiet.Side and overhead shower controls were not clear and if you get it wrong, which I did, you get drenched overhead. Kettle & tea tray in the room was appreciated.Generous breakfast buffet (full English included in our room rate). Check this carefully when booking as there were several options. Would recommend the hotel, with some reservations.Excellent location for tube, park and museums.
Only one lift which meant waiting up to ten minutes to reach the second floor.Stairs had a strange arrangement marked 'for staff only' on several floors. £50 'blocked' on your credit card on check in - released UP TO THREE DAYS after departure, which I refused to accept so was offered the chance of paying £50 cash which was returned on check out, as we had incurred no further expenses.
location staff bar
tiny king size bed
The hotel location was excellent with restaurants and cafés within an easy walking distance. In addition gloucester road underground train station was only 2 minutes walk. Our room was quite roomy considering the Central London location of this hotel. All other hotel facilities were good
Although we made a breakfast reservation the restaurant staff didn't have our booking which is required to get a $ discount... Was eventually sorted out. Restaurant staff generally not so good.
My single had a bath, my friends only had a shower. Adequate storage and good design made use of very little floorspace. Bathroom good wih heated towel rail, good quality towels and toiletries.
No heating in rooms.I was woken up at 5.30am by leg cramps caused by being too cold. Wake up call booked - never happened. My room palatial compared to my friend's. Very expensive mini-bar and food prices.
I like the staff and rooms
rooms were a little warm and the air conditioning was too noisy to keep on at night
The size of the room was very comfortable. The location was close to train/subway connections. Restaurants and shops nearby. Very pleasant stay.
ion was great. No problems accessing 'Theatreland' quickly and cheaply. Hotel staff were fabulous. E mailed to ask them to look after my daughter as it was a treat we had arranged for her & her husband. She doesn't get to leave Norfolk very often. They were superb. Upgraded to junior suite, staff member came to their room with box of Belgian chocolates, and best wishes from the staff for a very happy birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommend for your stay. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Rydges

Location is excellent
Room was quite small Lots of steps at entrance of hotel makes it difficult when you have suitcases - in addition the front doors are heavy and not automatic again making it cumbersome with cases.
Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Reception area was lovely. Unfortunately we had noisey neighbours who were shouting to each other through the windows of the hotel and we could hear next doors tv. Noise stopped by 11.30. Beds were really comfortable though.
Excellent location very central. Beds very comfortable, bathroom clean and well appointed.
We were in a basement room which was very disappointing, especially for the price and the hotel didn't appear to be busy or full. I paid for a full breakfast yet everyday they incorrectly had me down for a conntinental and I had to explain that it was wrong.
Location , staff every thing is great
Our room was quite small and looked like it had been 'well' used. Although we tried to upgrade it was impossible. The 'view' from our window was horrible - dirty roof top, etc. and we could hear them working in an adjacent kitchen in the evening. We had to keep our draperies closed the whole time. Not a pleasant experience for our last two nights in London.
Location Decor of hotel Friendly staff
Room perfectly adequate if a little small
Lovely comfortable and clean rooms. Good breakfast and handy location.
At first we were given a basement room which was dark and unpleasant. Thankfully we were changed immediately to a higher floor when we asked.
Staff excellent position excellent nice hotel the bar in the hotel was very good and very friendly staff
the hotel is getting old difficulty getting suitcases in and out of the hotel the restaurant was just average
Cleanliness of room, spacious & modern. Welcoming staff. Excellent location for Albert Hall & Oxford Street a short bus journey.
Expensive breakfast we eat for half the price minutes down the road.
Comfortable bed . Great breakfast . Helpful staff . uses at door and metro along road . Access to all necessary items and restaurants.
Location is good with stores nearby like Paul, Waitrose and Tesco. Famous museums are all within walking distances.
We asked for a room with a bathtub, but we were given one with a shower. They did change our room on the following day though.
Very nice servers, esp the young lady who works in the bar.
Did not get my wake-up calls.... Twice! Wi-Fi should be complimentary.
