This elegant 19th-century town house is just over a quarter mile from Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. It features a small gym, spacious bedrooms, and a bar with a patio for snacks and tapas.
Score from 1650 reviews Very good
great location for museums and royal albert hall . helpful staff . had a lovely meal in restaurant , very reasonably priced . lovely room .
public area cleanliness . skirtings and floors on lower ground floor very dirty and this is supposed to be the executive room area ???
staff were friendly and helpful. hotel was excellent value for money and very comfortable.
The nice atmosphere of the public areas such as restaurant and bar
The room was tiny
Short walk to Royal Albert Hall and buses for London. Good WiFi. Comfortable bed. Good tea/coffee in room.
Walls seemed to be very thin, the baby next door crying was very clear, luckily it went to sleep by midnight. In the bathroom, the lighting was appalling! Could not see to shave etc. Mould under the grab handle down to the bath, "pet hate" of ours.
Being called at 2305 hrs to tell me that Booking.Com had double booked me and that I needed to talk to them. I said it was not my problem and questioned to need to call me so late.
Staff, location, and food were all very good. Rewards program took effect immediately and was easy to set up. Saved loads right away. Two adults, an infant and a toddler couldnt ask for easier tube, bus, train, access. Bathroom was large and shower was amazing. Purchasing an outing at the front desk was easy as well. We will be returning.
Hallways were a little dirty/ rundown. Room cleaning was completed a little later than most hotels we are used to. And we faced the main street so it was a little loud.
Location very good for Albert hall and tube station
Hotel good, my complaint was the bar shut to early. staff told me it always closes early so because of that I wouldn't book again.
The location was amazing. Close to the subway. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable!
Great location, very close to Gloucester Road tube station for Piccadilly, District & Circle lines. Very clean and well appointed room. Queen room was small, but great layout. Room size definitely not an issue. Room decor was very stylish. Friendly staff at checkin and checkout.
Free wifi was very slow
Excellent location, good restaurants close by. Attractions close by and tube station.
The sofa bed was a single and not very comfy as you could feel the springs through the fabric. Not suitable if you have back problems.
Great bed Excellent location
Wifi a bit weak in room
close to tube stop..no station change to or from lhr apo..great staff..nice breakfast
room was very nice but small....we had 3 people
Location was very central
Friendly staff, excellent accommodation and facilities. Room was clean and luxurious!
Very pricey breakfast for what it was, but then we were in London!
The location is great as you can walk to Harrods, Hyde Park and The Natural History Museum from the hotel. We were going to the Royal Albert Hall which is only 10 minutes walk away too.
The room was very small and the bed was uncomfortable as the mattress was too soft. Didn't sleep well. Not really value for money at £199 for the night
No late night room service available - only a ham sandwich - even though there was a menu stating there was other food options Told check out was 12pm and received a phone call at 11.15 asking when we were checking out
Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities and very friendly and accommodating staff. Good location, with underground links to all the places you really want to see when you visit London. Will be returning soon.
Location for the Albert Hall was ideal. Only a 5 minute walk. Also 100 metres from a good pub that served excellent food
The amount I had to pay was £50 more than quoted on Booking.com. I am currently finding out why. (may be a genuine mistake)
The staff were always polite and helpful. A great sleep, even though on a main thoroughfare with our room at the front of the hotel, no disturbance a perfect nights sleep.
Clean, modern, good internet, refurbished bathrooms are fabulous
Rather small bedrooms, like all British hotels; fading lobby
Bathroom really too small
Bedroom on 1st Floor was clean, fresh & linen was new
When we checked in, we were allocated a room below ground level, I had to point out that your Booking Papers referred to an Exec King Room , we were then moved. Plus Breakfast they tried to sell us A Continental until I pointed out that Reservation Papers referred to Full English, this happened every morning whilst we were at Hotel.
Location, bathroom in the room was nice and big, lovely free toiletries, soft towels
The room was a bit small for two people but with the high ceilings this wasn't too claustrophobic
Loved the room, it had a really comfy bed. Also had good room service and a nice breakfast on the first morning. Minibar and added extras like magazines were a great touch and bathroom toiletries were nice. The errors that were made were apologised for.
Took 20 mins to get a cup of tea in the restaurant in the morning as staff kept on forgetting. Check in when we got there was quite poor as the staff member added £100 onto the bill without saying why until asked. She then didn't explain that the money was just on hold so at the end of the stay the member of staff asked us to pay, which was very confusing. They got our breakfast (delivered to room) wrong on the second morning which was quite irritating as we were in a rush, and we had to eat our breakfast at different times as a couple. The staff were quite dismissive and seemed quite flippant, perhaps this was because we didn't appear "as posh" a calibre of guest as they are used to. Being judged isn't very nice!
Modern decor and amenities in rooms. Nice location with good cafes, eateries and pub nearby on Gloucester Rd.
Standard room not big enough to swing a mouse.
