This charming, traditional family-run hotel is situated in one of the most picturesque parts of Northumberland, in the small town of Wooler, known as the Gateway to the Cheviot Hills. The hotel is renowned for its excellent home cooked food and wide range of fine ales. Nice place to stay didnt eat here wish I had meals looked good the towns only a short walk but I still was offered a lift by the kind locals. Breakfast smashing overall a nice clean place with plenty of character at a decent rate for all you whingers who seem to get off on the hotel inspector.

The entrance to the hotel is very impressive with fresh flowers and comfortable seating. The staff were really helpful and very pleasant, especially as I had made a mistake and booked 3 nights instead of 2. The breakfasts were very good, however hot toast would have been a bonus. The hotel was very conveniently situated and quiet, although close to a main road. Sadly the single room was situated at the back of the hotel, but at least it wasn't looking onto a wall.

Clean and welcoming with all the facilities I required for a short stay in Wooler. Agreed with other delegates that of the options available it was the best choice and the one we would recommend to others.

We realy enjoyed our stay here due to the friendly service, good food (quality, quantity and variety on offer), good beer and comfortable room. There was a nice ambiance in the restaurant and a good traditional pub atmospher in the bar. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone

We would not hesitate to recommend the Ryecroft Hotel to all our friends as we had a great time staying their we were very well looked after and the staff could not do enough for you.The rooms were clean and comfortable.The food was excellent and very well presented.We will certainly use this hotel again and again good value for money.

We had a really lovely time at the Ryecroft the rooms were clean and fresh the staff were very friendly and the food was wonderful we would recommend this hotel to any one wanting a lovely fairly quiet place to stay with really great meals and good red wine. We hope to go back for a long weekend next year.

Very pleasant staff. Reasonably comfortable though rooms not spacious. Excellent breakfast. A rather tired appearance. Some concerns over cleanliness e.g. towels, sticky table tops.

The location is very good for walkers and fishing, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. There was extra milk, coffee and tea just outside the room so you never had to ask for more. The evening meal was very poor standard and the room could do with a good pull out and clean.

When we complained that the water in the room was luke warm and that the shower was poor they offered us the use of another shower in another room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The choice of food on the menu was very good The pressure in the showers was poor so only a trickle came out of them, the hot water was only luke warm. The room were a bit dated with water stains on the ceiling.
