The staff team who tried hard to meet all our needs. On site car park a definite advantage. Swimming pool very welcome.

    The breakfast could be improved.

Great location right in the centre of Rye. Peaceful night's sleep & good facilities in room - tea/coffee, tv & hot/strong shower. Full of charm & character.

Spa bath in Venetian leisure centre was a little cold.

Excellent location, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room and marvellous breakfast (charming staff here too). Car park also very conveniently located. Guests with mobility difficulties might miss the absence of a lift subject to room location.

House keeping a little lacking in care and attention - Making up room seemed optional as opposed to standard practice and staff lacked enthusiasm when we said we wanted room done. 2nd night it was partially done and third night some essentials in short supply.

Room, Bed and Breakfast very good. Perhaps if we had booked a classic/superior deluxe room rather than standard room we would have enjoyed our stay more. Enjoyed Rye - wished we were fitter!

No evening meal facility in hotel. Breakfast excellent but insufficient staff. Young girl worked extremely hard. Waiting time for table at breakfast could be improved with more staff. You have to be fit if visiting Rye - lots of hills - perhaps too many for senior people.

I stayed just one night in The Rye Lodge Hotel, but I was very impressed by the hospitality of staff: they made everything so that my short stay to be as pleasant as possible. The room was very comfortable and also very nice decorated: an old fashioned but yet very attractive style. The location is perfect: you can reach out to each corner of the town very easily, but it still remains very quiet during night. Having in mind all of the above, I consider that this hotel is offering a great value for the money.

The decor is very elegant, as are the rooms, all named after different French wine regions; the champagne bar is equally elegant, and the underground pool was very relaxing

A few fixtures such as lightbulbs and the sauna were not working on the day I stayed, but no big deal, otherwise I would have told someone at the time

Spa Pool and Venetian Room Very clean and housekeeping immaculate.

The noise all night from some kind of air con or compressor coming on and off all night.Probably only heard from our room.Short staffed at breakfast time.Felt really sorry for breakfast waitress who didn't remember what I had ordered However all well in the end.

the facilities in the room were great; the staff were friendly; it was a bit quirky and proper, but we liked it

a bit difficult carrying suitcases up stairways and along little corridors, but that's what you get when you stay in an old building.

Lovely decor, and a feeling of coziness. The pool was beautiful too. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a good freshly cooked breakfast.

Our room was a standard double, so quite small. As the weather was warm it made the room very stuffy. We had a standard double bed and found that too small. At home we have a 6' wide bed, but I appreciate other people wouldn't be concerned about that. That said, it was a good stay and we enjoyed it. Thumbs up! :)

Hotel is situated in the heart of Rye so is ideal for exploring the town. Very comfy bed and room was quiet. good breakfast (which we payed extra for, as it wasn't included in the Booking.com offer). Originally we were going to go ut for breakfast, but nothing opened in town very early so we were happy to pay for the convienience. Swimming pool looked great - but didn't have the opportunity to use it.

    Location is excellent

Spa is much smaller than it looks on pictures and Whirlpool is cold - steam room was broken. Our room was boiling hot and impossible to ventilate. Decor is nice but seems dated.
