Ryton Park Country House Hotel  

A hotel with character in a pleasant setting convenient for both delightful local countryside and Newcastle. Covered parking for residents. Clean comfortable rooms with excellent facilities - tea/coffee making, fluffy bathrobes, tv, etc. Friendly and helpful, very attentive,staff. Pleasant bar area and stylishly decorated restaurant. Extensive and appetising menu - a variety of interesting dishes, beautifully presented at reasonable prices. Food was served with minimum of delay by knowlegeable, polite and non obtrusive staff. Overall, excellent value for money. Would happily stay there again. Thoroughly recommended.

Booking.com said that ryton park country house hotel was 1.1 miles from close house golf and country club. It was approx 5 miles!!!!!

Toilet cramped up against wall

All hotels I have stayed in before have bar and lounge available all day so I was surprised that the bar/restaurant closes at 3PM and does not reopen until 6PM, which meant my wife and I had to go elsewhere for somewhere to eat and to have a drink.

We booked an overnight stay as we were attending a Wedding in the nearby area. The owners and staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast and service were excellent and my husband and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others or to stay there again if necessary.

Staff were very helpful, location was very good for our purpose. Food and breakfast were good with dinner excellent for quality and value. You certainly do not have to go out for dinner.

The room was decent but cramped. The bed did not sleep very well and the bathroom was tiny. It could be graded as only ok.

I was visiting relatives the Hotel was close to the family plus it is a pleasent quiet well run establishment which offers good value for money with a good standard of Rooms

We use this hotel because of its location as we spend the weekend with friends who live on the housing estate opposite. Also, the hotel is to a high standard, the staff are always friendly and we never have any problems. The breakfat is alway excellent as well. We therefore have no hesitation in staying here every time we visit Newcastle.
