We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely and we had a great stay. The barn is beautiful.
Great hosts, room and breakfast. Clean, quiet and the perfect place to stay
Everything! The entire barn was beautiful! Our room was very clean and had everything we needed The owners were really kind and welcoming - they even have us a lift to our restaurant on the evening The bed was really comfy The whole barn was warm and cosy The breakfast was delicious and filled us up for the whole day It was the perfect stay and I would definitely recommend it
We didn't like leaving!
Donna was very friendly and helpful ( picked us up from the bus station on arrival and gave us a lift to it on our departure). The breakfast was great - English breakfast, warm porridge, joghurt, fruits, marmelade, tea, coffee, hot chocolate - we did not miss anything. Room/ bathroom very clean, modern, warm, comfortable. Bery nice, countryside-like , comfortable, though modern atmosphere in this old farm building. One point which might be of interest for people taking the bus into town ( ca 20 min drive): for a small passage from the bus station back home there is no pavement and no street light - a torch would be helpful when returning after sunset. Altogether: Highly recommemdable!
Can't find fault with the accommodation or hosts. Couldn't do enough for us. The overall feel is like staying at a friends house - and a very nice friend's house at that! No hesitation in fully recommending.
Doubt if our next weekend away accommodation elsewhere will match up to this one!
Location Quality of the facilities Friendliness of staff/owners Great Bed
Took some time for hot water to reach the shower
The barn conversion was outstanding. A really beautiful building. The hosts were also excellent. Really lovely welcoming people. The breakfast was also fabulous - amazing mushrooms
I'm being quite picky here as there is nothing to complain about really. We stayed in the Super King Room which had its en-suite bathroom separated from the bedroom by a set of double doors. So effectively you had to walk across a small landing at the top of the stairs and the landing to get from the bedroon the the en-suite. This is fine in itself but there was not a door at the top of the landing so we felt a little uncomfortable in terms of full privacy.
We unfortunately left behind some clothes in the wardrobe, which we did not realise for a week. We tried to contact the owners but received no reply from them for over a week. They claimed they had been trying to contact us for a week - we found only one missed call! They had, in line with their policy, taken our clothes to a charity shop!! This made our stay very expensive as the clothes were worth over £100 pounds. We will not be returning.
Recieved a call prior to booking to ensure I could find the B&B. Breakfast was arranged early without any problems. Was just across the road from training course.
Nothing disliked, possibly little hard to find. Better signage from road.
Everything was superb
Nothing was wrong
Donna and Clive, the owners couldn't have done enough - will be going back - great location for looking around Oxford, very convenient for the Seacourt and Peartree Park and Rides
Pillows were a little firm for my liking - however slept like a log
Wonderfully restored barn conversion with visible old timber structure integrated into modern living space with all mod cons. We felt very much at home and pampered. Great stay and well rested.
we were able to arrive early to leave our luggage. An interesting building, seemed to be designed for the purpose
Farmoor reservior was nearby, but not visible from the building (they did not say it was - but I hoped it might be).
good service good quality breakfast unique buliding and English countryside
a bit far to Oxford, but you can order taxi or take bus
Lovely clean room the owner was very helpful and available anytime. Delicious breakfast. Lovely bed, everything you needed.
Rather noisy if you're in a downstairs room- hearing occupants in other rooms, their TVs etc. Breakfast only served till 9- could have done with a bit later! Don't drive into oxford from here as the traffic is awful! Bus is v good service.
Beautiful B&B, very tasteful Barn Conversion with all the modern elements you need but without losing any of the character of the beautiful old building. Friendly and helpful hosts and the bottle of bubbly left in the room after we mentioned in passing that we were celebrating our anniversary was a lovely touch!
Donna was a great host and had great suggestions for dinner. We enjoyed Oxford immensely Good hot cooked breakfast.
Some distance from central Oxford.
Super accommodation, run by really friendly and helpful lady. Great breakfasts and onsite parking. Easy access to Oxford using the excellent bus service.
Nice Location, great breakfast, nice room.
Noise of other guests returning late
Lovely people running the BnB, easy 10 min bus trip from oxford station if you don't have a car and in a beautiful location near the reservoir and river. Highly recommend staying here
This is an excellent B & B in a beautifully converted barn. The location is peaceful, but close to Oxford and other places of interest. Donna and Guy were excellent hosts and everything was spotlessly clean. We only had one night there, but hope to go back and spend longer there.
Feel very welcome; Beautiful house; Frequent buses to city centre; Leisure walk to bus stop; Convenience store next to bus stop; Very clean and tidy; Flexible check-in & check-out time when situation allows;
The whole experience we just wished we could have stayed longer. Donna and Clive were very helpful and run a first class venue.
