Privacy curtains and light on each bed Storage boxes underneath of each bed
Sharing toilet and shower rooms were dirty.! They should clean those places more often.!
Excellent place, I've never seen such a clean hostel before! There you are not afraid to walk barefoot in a room which is usually not the case in other hostels. Also one more good thing was a bed: it's wide, high (you can sit with a straight back even on a bottom bunk) and most importantly stable so you can sleep well without feeling every movement of your neighbour. Liked it and recommend it!
The breakfast was a bit limited however what do you expect from a hostel? Cereals, croissants, toasts with spreads, hot drinks, an apple - enough to start the day nicely!
This hostel is quite new, has comfotable beds, clean washrooms and very nice breakfasts that come with the room price. There is a bus stop right outside the door ans restaurants nearby.
It was a little confusing to find, make sure you ask for the hostel stop, not just elphant & castle stop because that's also the name of the metro station. Bring towels, and personal items unless you want to pay for them. bring earplugs if street noise in summer bothers you.
Excellent level of cleanliness of bathrooms, linen, rooms, etc. Helpful staff, useful luggage room (a little small). Plenty of food at breakfast.
Being woken at 1.30am by returning room occupant switching on main light (all other had returned & reached bed in darkness). Could display more about site's past history.
I like the curtain in the bunk bed for privacy and the lockers under the bed. I also like lounge / bar in the basement where you can hang out and chill. WiFi is free in that area only and connection is good. Interior design is excellent. There is a library wherein you can browse for free. There are reading areas as well. It is a nice and cozy hostel. Metro/national rail are within walking distance. Buses to charing cross, victoria, westminster passes in front of the building and the stops are nearby.
Majority of the crowd are students as there are lots of universities/schools nearby. However, there are a few hotel guests that are tourists and of older group category too. Walk to the metro may not feel very safe as it is near crowded market and dim lit overpass. Using the subway at 11pm is not recommended.
Staff was happy to answer questions as best they could, but some gaps in knowledge. Rooms weren't dirty
A bit out of the way; didn't seem like there were too many people just hanging out, seemed to lack a community.
Excellent staff, good location.
new, clean, convenient and helpful staff!
Design of ground floor, separate shower rooms, lift.
I was given a bed is not in the room that I had reserved. Bad underground station.
very stylish, clean and new looking facility, shower/bathroom for one person only - very big and beautiful. good beds with curtains and storage facilities! free breakfast - doesnt rock but it fair enough.
beautiful building with spacious and pleasant communal areas. looks recently refurbished and very well maintained. clean bathrooms. comfortable bedrooms with excellent beds, enough storage space and curtains around the beds. excellent location for southbank and not too far from city centre. never thought this could exist in the centre of London! excellent value for money. would certainly recommend it.
no airco. room was very hot during the night but as window gave out on street, the other guests in my room did not want to open it because of the noise.
Breakfast included, rather clean, location
No bathroom and a kind of table in the room
the staff was friendly and helpful; I felt very safe during my three day stay; clean; the wi-fi was working in the room as well in spite of the fact that theoretically it was supposed to work only in the lounge area; nice breakfast.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
Quality Shower and toilet facilities, Quality rooms.
Poor bedding, there is only fitted sheet and blanket provided, another sheet would be nice. Breakfast was better in Hammersmith which is half the price. They charge for providing a cup of hot water. If you suffer from jet lag like I and wake up in the middle of the night and want to do some work, I got asked to leave all common areas as they 'were closed' and staff said they would get in trouble from manager if I was seen on the cameras.
Clean and big room, shower amd toliet in the room also clean
Breakfast choices are too little
First of all clening is a topic important and the price cheaper. Excellent !
The bed room was well organised Very modern Plenty of room space Curtains around the bed - more privacy Decent sized shower room
No air conditioning
men and women in the same room
It's one of the best hostels I've ever seen. It's clean, modern and comfortable. The curtains around the beds give you some sort of privacy, a lot more than in any other hostel. Also you have a small lamp at your bed so even if everybody else is sleeping you can still read or just have some light if you want to find something. It's close to the tube-station andany shops.
There is no kitchen, and for a longer stay that might be a negative thing. Also there are loads of school trips in this hostel so it's likely that you'll have to put up with a bunch of screaming kids running around.
Great value for money. Friendly and helpfull staff & clean rooms.
The 6 bed dormrooms are really hot in summer. Would be nice to have internet in the dormrooms, not only in the basement.
The staff was very very friendly. The hostel looks so good, beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The location is also very good, it's about 7 minute walking to the tube station, but there are a lot of buses right in front of the hotel. As its name suggests- it's a safe place indeed. I would recommend this hotel! The only thing which can be problematic for someone is the fact that WIFI is available only downstairs in the hotel lounge, but who cares about the Internet when there are so many things to do and see in London!?
-The front desk staff are friendly and helpful; -Sufficient toilets and bathrooms, of good cleanliness and size; -Good breakfast: croissants, cereal, yogurt, apples, juices, tea and coffee. -Relaxing lounge with sufficient seats and tables; a nice outdoor area; -Good soundproofing of dorm doors: can hardly hear noises from the corridor; -Bed linen included in room charge (but you'll need to pay for towels); -Curtains for dorm beds for privacy; -Storage under dorm beds: big and safe (but remember to bring your own padlock); -Overall new and clean facilities; -Location - 8 mins' walk from Elephant and Castle on Bakerloo line (which brings you to Waterloo, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus in central London directly.
-Wifi only available at lounge, which opens from 7am to midnight only; -No kitchen and no free water, tea or coffee outside of breakfast time; -False fire alarm at midnight on one of the nights during my stay; -A bit pricey for a dorm bed (but it's London!)
Good Continental breakfast included. Spacious, clean and new. Curtains up at each bunk bed. Plenty of buses into town, just outside.
Lots of groupes of school children, so very noisy. Staff on reception I found unpleasant and un helpful at times.
Overall nice, quite clean
My room's window was facing outside so it was a little noisy, but not unbeareable
- The ambience/"look" of the place. - The lockers underneath the beds.
- Trying to go to sleep in a cramped 6 person room without AC. Felt like death... - Neighborhood - Breakfast was all gone within 30 minutes...
