Excellent staff, good location.
new, clean, convenient and helpful staff!
very stylish, clean and new looking facility, shower/bathroom for one person only - very big and beautiful. good beds with curtains and storage facilities! free breakfast - doesnt rock but it fair enough.
beautiful building with spacious and pleasant communal areas. looks recently refurbished and very well maintained. clean bathrooms. comfortable bedrooms with excellent beds, enough storage space and curtains around the beds. excellent location for southbank and not too far from city centre. never thought this could exist in the centre of London! excellent value for money. would certainly recommend it.
no airco. room was very hot during the night but as window gave out on street, the other guests in my room did not want to open it because of the noise.
Breakfast included, rather clean, location
No bathroom and a kind of table in the room
the staff was friendly and helpful; I felt very safe during my three day stay; clean; the wi-fi was working in the room as well in spite of the fact that theoretically it was supposed to work only in the lounge area; nice breakfast.
I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
Clean and big room, shower amd toliet in the room also clean
Breakfast choices are too little
The bed room was well organised Very modern Plenty of room space Curtains around the bed - more privacy Decent sized shower room
No air conditioning
men and women in the same room
It's one of the best hostels I've ever seen. It's clean, modern and comfortable. The curtains around the beds give you some sort of privacy, a lot more than in any other hostel. Also you have a small lamp at your bed so even if everybody else is sleeping you can still read or just have some light if you want to find something. It's close to the tube-station andany shops.
There is no kitchen, and for a longer stay that might be a negative thing. Also there are loads of school trips in this hostel so it's likely that you'll have to put up with a bunch of screaming kids running around.
Great value for money. Friendly and helpfull staff & clean rooms.
The 6 bed dormrooms are really hot in summer. Would be nice to have internet in the dormrooms, not only in the basement.
The staff was very very friendly. The hostel looks so good, beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The location is also very good, it's about 7 minute walking to the tube station, but there are a lot of buses right in front of the hotel. As its name suggests- it's a safe place indeed. I would recommend this hotel! The only thing which can be problematic for someone is the fact that WIFI is available only downstairs in the hotel lounge, but who cares about the Internet when there are so many things to do and see in London!?
-The front desk staff are friendly and helpful; -Sufficient toilets and bathrooms, of good cleanliness and size; -Good breakfast: croissants, cereal, yogurt, apples, juices, tea and coffee. -Relaxing lounge with sufficient seats and tables; a nice outdoor area; -Good soundproofing of dorm doors: can hardly hear noises from the corridor; -Bed linen included in room charge (but you'll need to pay for towels); -Curtains for dorm beds for privacy; -Storage under dorm beds: big and safe (but remember to bring your own padlock); -Overall new and clean facilities; -Location - 8 mins' walk from Elephant and Castle on Bakerloo line (which brings you to Waterloo, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus in central London directly.
-Wifi only available at lounge, which opens from 7am to midnight only; -No kitchen and no free water, tea or coffee outside of breakfast time; -False fire alarm at midnight on one of the nights during my stay; -A bit pricey for a dorm bed (but it's London!)
Good Continental breakfast included. Spacious, clean and new. Curtains up at each bunk bed. Plenty of buses into town, just outside.
Lots of groupes of school children, so very noisy. Staff on reception I found unpleasant and un helpful at times.
Overall nice, quite clean
My room's window was facing outside so it was a little noisy, but not unbeareable
- The ambience/"look" of the place. - The lockers underneath the beds.
- Trying to go to sleep in a cramped 6 person room without AC. Felt like death... - Neighborhood - Breakfast was all gone within 30 minutes...
Nice as usual
Most of the staff were helpful and nice. Very clean and modern.
We had a very negative experience on our second nights stay. We purchased drinks in the bar and at 11:50 were told we had to finish them outside on the street as the bar was closed. A number of staff members stood over us until we moved. We were asked once to be quiet while outside and so we moved off the premises as we were conscious of other people trying to sleep. Another group were located on the terrace under the windows making noise and nothing was said to them but we were threatened by one staff member that our key cards would be disabled if we did not move even though we were off the premises and the other group making most of the noise were not spoken too. Also after being told we had to drink on the street when I went to leave the glasses back at reception I was given out to for having glass outside by the same person who ordered us to drink outside. This staff member was very rude and I got the impression he was expecting us to be rowdy because we were Irish and he therefore he had already formed an opinion of us in this regard. We stayed for 5 nights and were out late maybe twice. We have stayed in hostels all over Europe and this is the norm. However although the location is good and the hostel itself very clean I would not recommend this hostel to anyone who wishes to have a few drinks on their holiday or who wants to experience a bit of the London nightlife. This is predominately a family hostel.
Nice as usual
- personal - rooms - bathrooms (having it alone for a time)
- too much people, especially during breakfast, some things already finished when having breakfast later
Very recommended place
Some showers are very small, check other floors
Cheap laundry services Some great bar staff Big lounge area
WiFi was up and down
Good location price, hot water
Wifi location only underground, thin wall
Second time I stayed at this hostel as it's the only hostel I allow myself to stay in London when there aren't affordable hotels available. The bathroom was shared, but very clean. The detail of having curtains in each bed is great!
Although I requested a quiet room, the one I stayed in wasn't. Also it was the night of the World Cup final and the place was packed with Germans, which didn't help.
