The rooms were reasonably large and well decorated. The gounds were well maintained. Bathrooms modern and well appointed. Traffic noise from by pass spoilt outside areas. |

A very interesting old building that has been cleverly restored to include the modern conservatory covered area yet maintaining the olde world character and plenty of charm. We stayed in a groundfloor room in what I think was the old stable block and the floor of the room above was very creaky and noisy as the occupants seemed to walk about an awful lot. |

The room was the anne hathaway suite, and beautiful, The staff were extremely pleasant, and the hotel itself was romantic and very attractive in all areas. Our first room, No 22 was dirty, musty and dark. we asked for a different room and we were upgraded without a problem. |

The room was superb, and tremendous value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. I could not fault it at the price. |

We liked the decor of the room. As we arrived and left in pouring rain, we didn't really get a chance to appreciate the outside properly. We would have preferred a duvet on the bed rather than a blanket. as we only stayed one night it didn't matter too much. |

I was actually staying there because of work. However I enjoyed the dinner and breakfast I ate in the hotel. The bed was really comfortable in Room 16. I had a good nights sleep because the room wasn't too hot. |

staff attention was great, most helpful, but ate out so cannot comment on restaurant dinner. Rather bizarre bed with outriggers which hurt, although quite comfortable. Room 'uncoordinated!' may be fair description. Bathroom best we have seen for some time. Fascinating historic house worth a visit. |
