We stayed in a room in the Tudor Block which is a very short walk to the main building. Not a problem when we were there but would be a problem walking to the restaurant if weather was wet. The room was spacious very clean and very comfortable. I think this must be the cleanest hotel room I have found in England. Tea and coffee sachets were replenished daily and plenty of hand wash and shower gel in bathroom. Plenty of storage cupboards and drawers Our only complaint- We had a downstairs room and heard the occupants above walking across the floor so if I stayed here agin I would ask for an upstairs room

reception staff exceptionally helpful when I asked to move room. When I moved the room was much bigger with modern decor and and flat screen tv whilst maintaining some of the original features, because of structure you could hear every movement from room above, but hey its an old building first room was in main "old" building was very small not particularly well equipped or fitted and no wifi signal on my ipad. Pointed it out to reception and they moved me to the buildings opposite the main house

Very comfortable hotel. We understand that there has been a recent change of ownership and a re-vamp is due - would hate to think that it is changed too much as there is so much old world charm. Large amount of cigaratte ends outside main entrance - shame!

Lovely building and comfortable room with friendly reception staff No breakfast included in the price of the room and the option to have it was very expensive - extra 25 pounds for a couple
