The hotel was impressive, good value for the price although would have preferred to pay more and have breakfast included- we didn't have it as it wasn't.
The decor of the room was a complete mismatch. Obviously an effort had been made to update the room with a 'stylish/modern' wallpaper. However, the old chintz flowery, cottage style curtains didn't match at all and the completely over the top fourposter bed swaithed in cheap net frills was horrible. On check out another guest was complaining about his bar meal, we didn't eat there.
Warm and cosy. Very helpful staff.
dogs in nearby room
Warm welcome. Good room, excellent restaurant and food. Easy access to Evesham.
Initial problem with central heating, sorted out.
Such a gorgeous hotel, all the staff we encountered were friendly too.
The room was clean, warm and welcoming. Staff were polite on the welcome
Heating went off in the night, at around 10.30 pm so in the night the room was freezing. Heating didn't come on until 7.00 so had to get up in freezing conditions. Asked for heating to be left on was assured it would be but 2nd and 3rd night was the same. On morning hot water was just warm on an evening it was too hot and you could not cool the shower down.
We were moved rooms on request as we had sent 2 emails previous to our arrival stating we wanted a double bed,
Our emails were not acknowledged and we we were charged £13.00 each for a breakfast that we didn't have
Small bed (too Short) Noisy, could hear TV in room next door.
Location and history of hotel, it was very home from home, particularly the bar area and roaring fire
Staff service was average, if improved it would make this an excellent hotel and would probably build on its current 3 star rating
Staff were very friendly, room was nice, clean and had everything you need.I would stay here again.
Food seemed as if it had been re heated from days before. Mash had a thick skin , sausages were hard and black, veg was practically raw. Worst food I have ever had served to me.
The old and atmospheric building
Very nice historic building , really great night & nice ale and bar food
Leaving early before any breakfast which was not a problem , but staff on reception said they could make me a sandwich which I agreed to as long as it was ready for me when I left early - sadly it wasn't and I ended up being late chasing around to get hold of someone - didn't really get an apology either - shouldn't have bothered
Located in a relatively quiet area a few miles outside Evesham, this hotel offered a very pleasant stay. My room was in the annex building but still felt in character with the main house. Found staff to be professional and attentive and the food I had in the restaurant was lovely.
Amazing Food Quiet Hotel Great Rural location Beautiful Room Beautiful grounds
Bed could have been comfier if being really picky.
Lovely old building with beams in all rooms and felt the bedroom furniture and décor was in keeping with this. Liked the quirkiness of the en-suite being up a flight of stairs.
Possibly understaffed at breakfast but the staff themselves were very helpful and friendly.
Calm and tranquility out in the sticks
Food is very poor. Well below standard
The staff were lovely and the hotel was off the main road so it was a peaceful environment. Just what we expected.
The cleanliness in the room was great although there were a few holes in the duvet cover but the bathroom was full of cobwebs and the beams were disgustingly dusty.
Poor reception Poor room layout Poor linen on bed Poor bed Light globes needed replacing
I attended a reception held in an adjacent marquee. It was excellent and the abundant staff were very helpful. The hotel room was luxurious.I would love to return under happier circumstances.
Beautiful Elizabethan building and lovely gardens. Very pleasant staff. Evening meal was adequate for an English hotel but we were given the same vegetables every night.
Bedrooms - Curtains fell out of the wall, wardrobe fell on me, lipstick on cup, no fridge as advertised by booking.com, TV remote broken (not replaced or repaired in 4 days there) so no radio + 1 TV channel. No outside non-smoking bar area. Breakfast poor, children's cereal, warm milk (unrefrigerated for hours) and tasteless fruit salad.
great bar food lovely setting nice refurbished bathroom
rude manager (not with me but with another guest)
Everything about Salford Hall Hotel was excellent value for money. The location was superb as indeed was the Hotel itself. The food was really good. The staff fell over themselves backwards to help.
This is a beautiful building and it was a privelage to stay here but what made our stay was the very friendly and helpful staff. There are at least four rooms which allow you to take our dog so Buffy (our yellow lab) could stay with us which made our stay even more special .The bar food and breakfast is very good and buffy enjoyed the dog treats ! .
The weather was pants but theres not the staff could do about that !
The all round experience Will differently be staying there again
There's nothing to dislike
