We stayed at Salisbury House for the night. Thom and his wife were very nice, helpful and friendly. The place has it's own charm. It's a cosy lil comfort nest. Excellent breakfast! :) Would definitely come back.

    Nothing

They booked the accommodations and then wouldn't do anything! I will protesting the credit card charge on this one. Booking.com did nothing to help. Last time I use them.

Friendliness of the couple running the business, the excellent cooked beakfast.

Bedroom large with adequate storage but contained a lot of owners junk. No plug in basin and none produced though it was pointed out. No fruit at breakfast.

Very friendly welcome Fresh milk offered for tea Breakfast very good Location superb

Onsite parking was very limited although spaces outside on the road. TV didn't work Wifi connection was not offered although it states on website I booked last minute at a discounted rate, would not pay £89. Room did not look as on website, was very dark and at the top of the house. The website states Bed and Breakfast 3 rooms - I believe I had a fourth room! Don't think I would stay again, sorry.

generally quiet position acceptable for this one occasion will not stay again - will pay more for more flexible check in time, ensuite room with on site parking

Entrance looked a total shambles with cars everywhere( no where to park) - house signs for sale propped up, redundant cars in the way and awkward to get into. 6pm check in - not in this day and age can you accept this as the norm after travelling 330 miles. bathroom not ensuite - tho private - shower Poor - cant understand that this was acceptable to owners NO WIFI in room - tried with owner in room on two separate phones but no success. No parking on site as stated - had to park in road.

The owner was very pleasant and stood out in the road looking for me as I struggled to find the place in the dark. He provided fresh milk for hot drinks and as I was leaving before breakfast, provided a wrapped pain au chocolat and fresh fruit to take with me, a nice touch.

Bedroom was as if the owners daughter had been kicked out for the night and I moved in. It came complete with all her clutter and soft toys. Cold tap in the bathroom sink still not working (mentioned in a review by a previous guest). Needs a good tidy up and a bit of redecoration - perhaps replacing torn net curtains? The tap water is an acquired taste and made the tea taste funny. Would I stay here again? -Probably not.
