Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone other than a student ! I'm not sure how it achieved 2 stars and really needs closing to upgrade quite urgently. Had we arrived children I would be devastated . We stayed only as we arrived late.
The whole experience was shocking , the room was not clean, the bulbs were out so no lights! We changed rooms again grubby and tatty. Lots if students staying and sadly I believe residents who have no full time address . Shocking hotel of the highest order!
The rooms are dirty, noisy and all furniture very uncomfortable it was hard trying to sleep and get some rest on the beds, the smell comming Out the bathroom was awfull since the first minute we entered the room. The windows can not be open to allow some fresh air entering the room
A quality Nights Sleep EVERY night of my 9 night sleep

toilet was not clean
Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast excellent and freshly cooked.
Chips from previous room occupants not cleaned up, facilities in room poor. Hotel fairly run down and in need of an overhaul.
Easy to get to and safe parking for a motorbike.
It's a bit worn out in places.
Close to the beach. Staff helpful.
Hotel is dated and needs a revamp. Bad was very uncomfortable.
Friendly staff sea views
Couldn't open the windows. A bit smelly in the hotel
The staff were friendly and the location is perfect for a short stay facing the sea. The breakfast, included in the very modest price, was good. There is a bar in the hotel, and children are welcome there.
Our room smelled extremely musty, so much so that we had to wash our clothes when we got home. The bathroom was badly repaired and painted, and the extractor fan did not work. The bedclothes were clean, but the beds themselves were very stained and you could feel the springs in your back. I hate to be negative, and the staff did their best, but the place badly needs tidying and decorating.
Stately looking hotel in prime location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was dark, basic and very functional and didn't feel very clean - I didn't look too closely. The carpet was stained, the bathroom had only a rubber hand shower fitted on the taps and no shower curtain, there was no remote for the TV.
nothing really - location wasnt bad
room was really run down, there were only 2 plug sockets in the the room, the bedside lamp was there, but wasnt plugged in as no where near a plug socket. window was wedged open, couldnt close it - curtains stained, door was scratched, carpet was incredibly old - everything was in really bad condition.
Convenient for Le Shuttle
Lift didn't work. Key didn't work at first. Dog eared paper notices everywhere. Needs serious paint work and attention. Everything looks and feels worn out.
Firstly the staff is friendly, we liked the location as it is sea facing, while reaching the seashore there are few activities that can be done.
Not all that much actually! Probably location as it is right on the beach....
After battling to find parking, we got to the entrance that was undergoing construction... First words from the unfriendly receptionist were "name!" - when she eventually found our booking and handed us the key we were directed to our room... I sincerely hope the external renovations continue to the inside.. this place needs a serious make over & the staff some lessons in public relations! We wont be rushing to go back to this Hotel in a hurry! Avoid it if you can!
The sea front location and the fact that it was only a short walk to other facilities e.g. Restaurants, bars etc. in order to escape this disgusting place.
Everything about this disgusting place.
Cheerful and helpful staff. Easy walk into town centre. Breakfast served quickly.
Only one pillow and rubber shower attachment to bath taps did not work. Carpet in bedroom needed a clean.
It was very dated, not clean the rooms were dirty and dated the beds had stains on the bases, curtains not fitting properly, the room was damp and it had a damp patch on the ceiling the windows were not clean
Cheap accommodation.good breakfast
Rooms need redecorating
This hotel should not be listed on the internet. It is so in need of being torn down. The so called superior room we booked was in need of a good clean. The carpet was filthy full of crumbs & hair. The base of the bed was stained and not covered. No bedside lamp, wash basin in the room. I could go on & on. Unfortunatly, we did not read the reviews before booking, a big mistake. We gave breakfast which consisted of coffee & toast a miss. The very poor standard would have applied to the kitchen as well. Needless to say we were in a big hurry to leave.
Very shabby hotel needs a of care and attention to bring up to standard i.e. new carpets, furniture etc
Location was good with great views.
This has the feel of a halfway house, the sort of place that councils utilise in an emergency. Unkempt, unloved and held upright by scaffolding (and much scruffier than Booking.com pictures!). Two rooms beside ours were being used by ambulance staff (according to posters on the doors) and they clearly ignored the no smoking policy. The whole hallway reeked of stale smoke, which permeated into the family room where i was with young children. Not on!! Oh, and breakfast is from 8-9. When i jokingly mentioned that this was a generous policy i got a rather sour response from reception..it's no wonder they demand payment up front! Customer service is in keeping with the rest of the hotel.
Where it was situated and that's all.
walking through hotel, there was old worn furniture with rips in and stains on chairs, stains on ceilings from leaks, worn carpets...just run down. Our room was freezing, you could not shut the double glazed window because it was broken and being stopped by lumps of wood. there were tiles on floor in bathroom coming off, there were old coffee stains on wall and door, there was just 1 x very thin blanket on our beds,it was just awful.Never again !!!
Everything, filthy, smelly disgusting windows filthy, curtains hanging off, milk off in room
poor cleanliness hairdrier in room missing bedside lamp not working toilet seat broken mould in shower do not serve evening meals My colleagues advised similar No receipts available at the bar wallpaper hanging part off at the entrance
we were given room on the corner with sea veiw room was large bit dated but clean and bed was great.
breakfast tables not cleared need more staff, table lamp in room 204 didnt work and plug was welded to socket, room needed a new centre shade the cheap old one lets the room down shame why washbasin is not in bathroom but on wall outside is clueless when all the plumbing there and bathroom big enough, curtains downstairs not been opened on the far side of room off bar by 9.30 am lovely wooden floor in this room badly damaged needs heavy sanding and restain, would make world of difference old display cabinet in this room nothing in it,so dump it as underneath it the dust is a inch thick ,some things could be put right quickly and a very little expense.
