It is a social house not a hotel.. Homeless people are habitated by council, hence would not recommend it as a hotel at all.
We asked to be moved from our room because we had requested seaview. They apologized and we were moved to a far superior room, with seaview. Very helpful. Extremely good value - clean, but needs updating. No complaints!
Room ,Clean and Warm and staff friendly.
Value for money. Room with shower that worked. English breakfast. Wifi in common room.
Not really clean. Quite outdated.
It was quiet and the position was excellent The staff were very kind helpful and easy going. They replaced a faulty TV at a very late hour nothing seemed too much.
The beds were old there were no extra pillows. The restaurant was on the cold side (it was very cold outside though.)
Very cheap however became apparent very early that this place is used by the DWP to house house with housing issues, hotel smelt bad, room cold, decoration poor, room dirty, cold water in the morning just basically disgusting even at the price not good at all, is more like a refuge than a hotel, my fault I stayed there never again !!!! Not even quits on bed old scabby blankets I'm still itching now !!!! They should pay Poole to stay there !!!!!! And the TV no signal !!!
Arrived 10.30pm on an extremely cold new years eve staff were welcoming room was toastie warm big bed big bath lashings of hot water restful 4 nights sleep hslf the price of the nearest comparable competitor
Fantastic catering staff. Great location. Unbeatable value
Shower and noise of doors at night
clean quiet room good heating nice staff good breakfast
great position, near dover, nice big room breakfast ok
no wi fi in the room, a bit dated
Excellent location on sea front & near town centre.
Hotel needs refurbishment. Basic bed & breakfast which was OK.
the beds were comfortable with clean sheets, there were clean towels and plenty of them and fresh. the staff were polite the dining room was festive the full English breakfast was ok
the whole look of the Salisbury hotel was shabby it was tired & dated on the other hand we could see that it was being refurbished so maybe next time we visit it will be much better.
It had a roof and walls.
Yes, it was ok
we had to be moved as bed had bed bugs very dirty would not go back
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has an excellent location overlooking the sea. Was clean and a very good price. Very pleased
A few cosmetic changes could be done but other then that all was fine
No parking on site
It's a hostel, in poor condition NEEDS A "MAJOR" revamp but sadly it will struggle on till it falls down, which will not be long
The Salisbury provided all my needs for an overnight stay and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Being on the Leas, the hotel is perfect for a pleasant short walk into town along the cliff, overlooking the sea.
Location, price, cleanliness, spacious rooms
the roof was leaking rainwater all night, with a constant drip onto the spare bed keeping us awake. Had I known it would last all night I'd have gone down and tried to find someone.
This hotels only saving grace was the sheets had been washed/were clean
No offer to help with baggage Very smoky smell in every area of hotel, especially the bar area. All furniture grubby, old, some torn in public areas. Stair rails sticky Room was worn. Bath had hairs left on side, no hot water in sink, sink cracked. Toilet seat bleach wet. Divan bases old and dirty. Room 2 doors away, guest was obviously long term as had cat with cat litter tray in door (door was kept open) The whole hotel smelled of overcooked veg and cigarettes. Only reason we remained was it was late for my young children and I did not know anywhere in the area. We did not have breakfast as we were concerned about the hygiene in kitchen.
Sea view, ensuite, coffee,price
Rude manager, fried bread, sausage, cold hotel in general, dripping water everywhere
good position, in front of the sea
very dirty room
Clean and the staff were helpful. It was convenient for the shops and the railway station.
The lift was out of order both days, and I was on the 4th floor, so there was a lot of walking.
