everything else - dirty, uncomfortable, no wifi in the room, mould, broken furniture, looks like not been decorated for many years.
Staff friendly and helpfull, free parking near hotel
Very in need of refurb, didn't have booking on system on arrival.
Location was near to channel tunnel. Parking was easy but on the street.
Hotel room was freezing cold with very grubby en suite bathroom. Bedding smelt musty. Thankfully we only stayed for a few hours as we were catching an early channel crossing.
The price was very cheap compared with the bigger hotel brands. The room was satisfactory with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. A good bar with helpful staff and a great value breakfast.
The hotel is a magnificent building but sadly is in need of complete refurbishment. We stayed 1 night en route to elsewhere so could tollerate the peeling, faded paint and paper but staying longer for a proper holiday would leave me depressed and disappointed. The whole place looks and feels run down which is a shame because it has great potential. It needs a lot of money being spent on it and I guess in these difficult times that money isn't available. I've tried to be fair and balanced but sadly the negatives outweigh the plusses.
I liked nothing about tyhis hotel.
This hotel should be closed and reopened after a major evaluation. It is dirty, no hot water in the bathroom, I could feel the mattress springs sticking into my side all night, I hardly slept a wink. It is occupied by a bunch of out of work kids paid for by DWP. Keep well away from this hotel and retain your sanity.
Staff were friendly and helpful . It was quiet and was ok for a 1 night stop off
It was like walking into a 70s timewarp, all the furniture was dated and had definitely seen better days.
Good breakfast for the money.
Parking space was not easy to find and hot water in room was non existent.
The manager Phillip, very welcoming , does his best under very trying circumstances!
No disabled access or facilities
Booked with double room with sea view but thats not what I received. I'm not a fussy customer I was tired from my trip so went straight to bed when I woke up I saw red spots on me which I later found out was bed bug bites all over my leg, finger and neck. I just rushed to catch my train to London & now suffering from bug bite.my only mistake was I Should've filed a complaint.
Staff are friendly. Hotel is very good value for money,.
Lift out of order. My husband and one of our friends are disabled so most inconvenient. Friends room had no heating, but ours was lovely and warm.
Bed linen and towels clean room warm.
Dingy lighting not very clean in bathroom. Curtains didn't pull together plus so faded and shabby Tv not working not good with dss people ther
Good price, quiet room, good breakfast.
Although the mattress looked fairly new, it was very uncomfortable with very little padding over the springs.
It is a social house not a hotel.. Homeless people are habitated by council, hence would not recommend it as a hotel at all.
We asked to be moved from our room because we had requested seaview. They apologized and we were moved to a far superior room, with seaview. Very helpful. Extremely good value - clean, but needs updating. No complaints!
Room ,Clean and Warm and staff friendly.
Value for money. Room with shower that worked. English breakfast. Wifi in common room.
Not really clean. Quite outdated.
It was quiet and the position was excellent The staff were very kind helpful and easy going. They replaced a faulty TV at a very late hour nothing seemed too much.
The beds were old there were no extra pillows. The restaurant was on the cold side (it was very cold outside though.)
Very cheap however became apparent very early that this place is used by the DWP to house house with housing issues, hotel smelt bad, room cold, decoration poor, room dirty, cold water in the morning just basically disgusting even at the price not good at all, is more like a refuge than a hotel, my fault I stayed there never again !!!! Not even quits on bed old scabby blankets I'm still itching now !!!! They should pay Poole to stay there !!!!!! And the TV no signal !!!
Arrived 10.30pm on an extremely cold new years eve staff were welcoming room was toastie warm big bed big bath lashings of hot water restful 4 nights sleep hslf the price of the nearest comparable competitor
Fantastic catering staff. Great location. Unbeatable value
Shower and noise of doors at night

no wi fi in the room, a bit dated
