Good location in cente of Taunton Noise easily audible from other rooms, bed far too soft, annoyingly bright lights in the room on the wi-fi which couldn't be covered up at night.

It was clean and the staff were friendly. Check-in and check-out were efficient with no fuss. Breakfast was adequate. The facilities (or lack of them) were disappointing. No bar in the hotel and no mini bars in the rooms - which were tiny.

Very efficient and welcoming with a lovely breakfast provided. All staff were very friendly and family rooms were large and spacious and there was even a window in the Bathroom rather than just fans .Nice Victorian property with ample parking, right in centre of town, which made a nice change from the modern Travelodge type hotel. We all said we would stay again..

Good parking and spotless room but .... Noisy room to room including bedroom doors with severe sping hinges rocking the hotel and hotel door bell like an alarm. Shower ran out of hot water. And the room tv had such weak signals that only received 2 main channels. All this on New Year's Eve. Never again.

The Welcome was very friendly, we were close to the town centre with various coffee shops and restaurants, our breakfast was superb & was included in the price plus free car parking. If we need to stay in Taunton again the Salsibury House Hotel will be top of our list.

Excellent breakfast, fresh ingredients well cooked. Car parking, although the hotel has a large car park they have an advertising board advertising all day parking for £5 for non residents which fills the car park spaces quickly leaving no parking for actual residents, when we arived we had to park up in the local pay and display car park until a space became available later on in the day, not what you expect.

I've been there before. Comfortable. Helpful staff. Some noisy occupants above me this time unfortunately - but it happens sometimes. Staff did thier best to sort things out and offered a room change. I shall go there again

Extremely clean, quiet and tidy. Most excellent breakfast. It rained. Don't suppose there's much you can do about that!

An unusual old building sympathetically refurbished and extended to a very high standard. Very comfortable with excellent furnishings and all amenities. Good location. Pleasant service. Car park attached. Reasonable price which included a full English breakfast. No complaints at all but slightly larger bath towels would have been nice and a spare blanket for the bed.

Friendly staff, pleasant decoration, clean rooms and good food. Location was brilliant and having their own car park was an added bonus so convenient for the town centre, but not at all noisy. On balance the pluses outweighed the minuses on our trip, but with more vigilance there would be no need for any criticism, only praise from satisfied travellers. Not enough care taken regarding maintenance. The radiator in the bathroom did not work so the towels used at night weren't dry by the morning. The bedside light bulb was broken and to my wife's horror after getting out of the shower, the hairdryer did not work and the hotel reception were not able to provide another one, appeasing us by saying not all the rooms have hair driers. That's what we paid extra for !!!!!

This is a really nice hotel in Taunton centre with free parking and free wi-fi. The hotel was completely silent even though most rooms were full. Check in took about 30 seconds and you were left to come and go as you please. Fully recommedend and I would stay again.

No fuss efficiency. Good breakfast, easy to come and go. Very handy for town centre. A bit lacking in welcome. Room spacious, but noisy near traffic (ground floor). Not very warm in stormy weather.

We have just returned from three days at the Salisbury House Hotel and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. The tea/coffee was replaced every morning and later, the room was cleaned to a high standard. The breakfast was lovely, using good quality products and very plentiful. The hotel was very well located for the centre of town and although evening meals at the hotel were not really encouraged and the menu small, there were plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity. We shall certainly go again.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and if, in the area, we would stay there again. The only problem was with the hotel being on a main road but that did not affect our stay.

Room 1 very quiet and away from traffic noise! Excellent fried bacon and egg breakfast (but see below) Wife was disappointed with the scambled egg - not as she would have made it - probably over-cooked or stood around too long. Creaking floorboards from room above!
