In the bustling centre of Ipswich, Novotel Ipswich offers spacious rooms with large work desks and luxury rain showers.
Score from 308 reviews Very good
This stunning hotel sits amongst green gardens and fine trees in the heart of Woodbridge, Suffolk. The beautiful countryside is perfect for walking, and the nearby lake for fishing.
Score from 170 reviews Very good
Located 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre, Premier Inn Ipswich Town Centre (Quayside) is also opposite the estuary and Ipswich marina.
Score from 221 reviews Very good
Location was excellant as was the closeness to the town itself .Food was good would recommend the Suffolk grill for breakfast .
Drinks were pricey as was the limited drinks available .The food although good was gastro style large plate small quantity
Location- convenient for the theatre Marina looked the best part of Ipswich in the evening sun Warm welcome from staff Spotless bedroom with very good television and other facilities Comfortable bed
My room was on the side of the hotel overlooking a noisy bar next door but the noise did not continue very late so this did not really cause much of a problem. Nothing else to dislike
The carpet in the bedroom was filthy and that spoilt the ambience of the room. The service in ther resturant was slow and confused and I had to roder things 3 times soemtimes before geting them
Just about everything was perfect really comfortable and clean. The decor was very nice one of the best hotels we have been to in a very long time. Staff were happy and smiling and very helpful.
The TV which we had not used came on at 5am, presumably set by previous visitor, luckily because the bed was so comfortable we soon returned to sleep!
This hotel ticks all of the boxes and more: it is in a unique location, ambience, gourmet food, extremely helpful staff, easy parking, spotless and very comfortable.
No faults to report.
Very good wines available Comfy chairs in the bar Spacious bedrooms with tea & coffee making facilities A separate shower room A good selection of daily newspapers
No mini-fridge or safe in the room
The room was extremely quite and very comfortable. It had outstanding views of the waterfront and the bathroom was amazing.
Staff cleaning ornaments whilst we were eating breakfast
Rooms good size, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean Bathroom modern, functional, spacious and spotlessly clean Restaurant evening meal - food, wine and service all excellent Lovely views over the marina and easy access in to Ipswich town centre
Breakfast service rushed - no break between the starter and cooked breakfast (which arrived at the SME time as the fruit salad on our second morning)
LOCATION BREKFAST STAFF
Hotel was lovely, rooms were great, bed was enormous, harbour views were beautiful and the service was fantastic. The food was amazing, both breakfast and dinner. I'll stop now as I'm running out of superlatives.
With the balcony open, Isaac's bar next door is a bit noisy (also with live music of varying quality).
Location Views from my room Quirky objects d'art
Variable service in restaurant. Noises chairs on restaurant floor Banging in adjacent room
All of it
Only spending one night there
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff; location ( but need to have a marina view room to get the most out of your stay), excellent evening meal beautifully cooked and presented.
Reception was busy at 11:00am check out. Having to pay if we wanted to leave the car in the overflow car park ( on the day we checked out) in order to spend more time exploring the harbour area and town.
Have always enjoyed our stays at the Salthouse. This weekend was special, as Ipswich was featuring a Maritime Weekend which the Salthouse was at the centre of. The barbecue in the reorganised car park was enjoyable.
Had several problems with our room's keycard , mostly the programing of. This was all and did not affect the enjoyment of our weekend's stay.
Friendliness, helpfulness and overall décor.
Limited parking facilities. Button mushrooms at breakfast (everything else good). They should be large e.g. Portobello.
Location at the quayside Comfortable bed Bedroom overlooking the marina Very kind staff
Service in restaurant a bit hit and miss Portions of cooked breakfast could be bigger. One mushroom!!
Lovely rooms comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast and in a lovely setting on quay
I like the fact that the majority of staff were English and always very attentive. It's a refreshing change.
Comfort Style Position on waterfront Room size (large by UK norms)
Light sleepers might find the seagulls a bit noisy in the morning, if the room windows were open (not a complaint really!)
Spotlessly clean Beautiful view Food
The room was excellent very trendy and very confortable very very clean. The bathroom was spacious and delightful, Breakfast yummy staff very efficient and they smiled.
Our room was wonderful over looking the quay side and watching the boats in and out felt like we was abroad. The hotel was just how we thought it would be, wonderful . We will return.
Great place, comfortable stay. Great staff.
£195 per night is unjustifiable as it's not a 5 star hotel. Should be £100 a night in salt loft room. Breakfast was tiny, once again £15 per person is unjustifiable. Rip off. Needs to look at the prices again to attract customers and existing customers. I would stay again if prices is lower and sensibly.
Location very good my franch friend love it he think just like in France and he will return to hotel again . Staffs very helpful and very friendly
