The staff were friendly and chatty. the hotel has on street parking and is well situated. Breakfast was very good. The bar area is depressing and the bar staff couldn't tell me what wine they had, other than white or red!

Hotel is conveniently located for a short walk into town. The hotel is very shabby and in need of refurbishment. Very basic accommodation. When checking out staff did not enquire if we enjoyed our stay.

I liked the sea view from the lounge although our room did not have one, but this was reflected in the price. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good ensuite. Breakfast was continental and there were plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to park outside. The room seemed a bit too warm despite the radiators being off and we don't like air-con because it uses too much energy and it's noisy. We couldn't have the window open because an outside generator was making too much noise and disturbed our sleep.

A wonderful sea view from our room which was comfortable with settee and somewhere to chat. Nice to have a kettle and cups etc Reception Staff very helpful and friendly and efficient. Needed a clear street map in each room Needed Information about the local area eg Local history such as history of hotel ( this was placed in the lift! -But we did get our own copy from the desk) photos of the harbour in the past especially as it played such an important part in the withdrwal from Dunkirk ww2 There are lots of Turner and other artists who painted pictures in Ramsgate. Also there are photos of the harbour and other buildfings (Regency Crescent, Pugin's house ) in the area.instead of indifferent pictures of not anywhere special. Details of opening times and directions to local points of interest eg Turner Gallery Margate, Maritime Museum Ramsgate, St Laurence church , Pugin's House etc Nice to have a kettle and cups etc but biscuits stale and teapot didn't pour well A tray would have helped.

My wife and I were visiting friends in Broadstairs and needed to stay overnight in a local hotel which had every facility we requred and was competitively priced to suit our finances. This fitted the bill perfectly. The full English breakfast was very good, my only complaint was that 3 fried eggs was too much! The view from our room overlooking the coast was a bonus!

Convenient location and friendly staff I thought the hotel was expensive for what we gotmie notmparticulary good value for money. Apart from the location it Is pretty standard in terms of accommodation ie not very modern, beds a bit uncomfortable etc. no full english breakfast included which for 79 a double room per night is not good value.

Location Poor bar food service. As guests we were surprised, at about 8.20 on a Saturday evening, to be told there would be a twenty minute wait before we could place an order (moving to the restaurant would not, we were told, speed this up.)

Location was good for our needs, staff mainly friendly.Room pleasant and had sea view. Very noisy extraction fan in en suite!! Would prefer mugs to cuos and saucers (personal pref perhaps).pack of biscuits each would have been good. Arrived at by coach from London10.00pm could not buy food in bar as finished serving at 10.00pm. Vending machine for snacks would have been very welcome.

Convenient and available Staff ok but not particularly friendly and welcoming (apart from arrival on Thursday night). Breakfast not good - coffee from a machine and luke warm. Tv did not work on Thursday night - most signals too weak; it was fine during the day. This did not bother me too much but might be a problem for someone else

“A warm welcome at a very well refurbished hotel, spotlessly clean room and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast service and a great atmosphere in the adjoining pub/restaurant. Nice to see an old seaside hotel being so well cared for and particularly liked not having to search for somewhere to park the car. Thoroughly enjoyed our short break and will certainly stay here again when we are back in the area.” Stephen, Epsom |
