The room was excellent value very comfortable and the enclosed balcony with sea view was a lovely bonus. I would stay here again without doubt and I am very fussy about hotels.

We booked this hotel with wwwBooking.com.It was descibed as a large room with panoramic views over the english channel. We were given an attic room with filthy furniture and cutlery. We complained to the hotel who have offered 50% discount off of our next visit but we would never go back to such a miserable place again. We have asked for our money back and compensation for travel and all the inconvenience we were put to but they refuse.

A very good sized room with a sea view and all the facilities I would expect. The trouser press did not work properly and the bar and restaurant area did not match the standards of the room - it was more pub than hotel.

Free car park, Wi Fi in room bed okay When in Ramsgate I saw the travellodge next to town where meeting was overnight rate £19.50 compared to £48! I know where I'll go next time. Room very nosy due to old windows and gusty wind.

Room was spacious, reasonably clean and had a lovely view of the sea. Breakfast was saved from 7.30 to 9.30 and we were actually asked to leave the breakfast room at 9.35 and all the for was cleared away. Also the surcharge for an English breakfast was a little ott.

The welcome from the staff, ever so friendly, could do enough to help. The bed was uncomfortable and needed a proper duvet cover

Our room was very spacious with an unbeatable sea view from our enclosed balcony, the desire to please the customers shown by all but one of the staff was a credit to the hotel, the variety of the food available was like a combined harvester and beefeater pub but was cheaper and served so hot that there was no chance of food poisoning, the house wine was above average but again much cheaper than expected, there was ample parking at the hotel and outside, TV's were on in all communial areas but were muted and subtitled so as not to disturb non viewers. The lift stopped outside our room so good for access but was very quiet and so didn't create problems at night. The hotel was very tired (but was expected) especially the entrance from the car park, the four poster bed was well used and very noisy, the continental breakfast was appalling and demeaned the hotel

Friendly and capable staff and comfortable beds Too geared to the business traveller (no dedicated restaurant facilities (food only available in the bar) and no comfortable lounge. Assumption that you are out all the time and only need the hotel for bed and breakfast facilities and the occasional drink.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The location on the top of the small cliffs were really interesting looking across the North Sea. The hotel is 'tired'. Our room at the rear was adequate but the mattress was much too soft. Get a room at the front. They seem to be higher quality.

They changed our room immediately when we complained that we had been unable to sleep because of noise. This came from air conditioning and ventilation units outside the building below the window. We ended up with a sea view room, which nearly made up for the sleepless night. Unco-ordinated service at evening meals, and disinterested waitresses, evening and breakfast.

“The whole experience realy. All staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them. Not like sleeping on a rock like many other hotels. The bedding and towels were pure white and soft. It was very quiet and we had no trouble sleeping because no noise going on. the food we had was very good . The room was very clean and comfortable . Would definately stay again and recommend to friends.” Cynthia, Maidenhead |
