Generally excellent hotel. Good location and good price. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is a small buzz in the background all the time. On the first night, I slept badly. To the credit of the hotel, I was moved to a nicer and quieter room but the faint buzz was still there. On the second day I bought ear plugs and slept better. I would go again but would not be without my earplugs.

Beautiful location, nicely renovated event centre for a wedding, good breakfast, great staff. The main hotel is in need of a revamp - but this is only a minor as it didn´t majorly detract from my stay.

Staff outstanding - standard of room requires updating, looking a little used even though the standard of cleanliness was excellent.

Got a good rate for this hotel for the night. This would be a great place to be in the summer.. sea front and back of hotel It was not very busy at all and they put me next to another client and the walls were very thin... They could have put us a room apart then I would not have had to listen to all his phone conversteions at 1am and then 6am in the morning. Also the pool and leisure facilities were shut which it did not say on the site.

Efficient staff, comfy room, decent breakfast. I was staying in Poole on my own because of a family event but wanted to be somewhere comfortable with nice facilities so that I could escape and pamper myself a bit. It was very disappointing that the pool was out of bounds on the Sunday because someone had been sick in it the night before. I turned up at at 7.45am and couldn't get into the leisure facilities at all. I was offered no compensation.

We took advantage of a special package price and were delighted to find a comfortable well appointed hotel in a superb spot, the restaurant was a revelation. We dined with guests and the meal was up to fine London west end dining, a real surprise and very enjoyable.

I thought the hotel was very over priced considering the facilities and very slow, inefficient service. The communal areas are nice, but restaurant and bar service is painfully slow and the quality of food is disappointing considering the price. The room was uncomfortable, cramped and very hot.

I enjoyed the surroundings and the ground floor of The Sandbanks. I thought the room was old and in need of refurbishment. The sea view was partly obscured and the balcony wasn't glass as in the picture. Asked where could get food sent to different areas of which were being told closed. Had to find somewhere outside hotel.

Only the location It's shabby and run down. There are not enough staff and those that are there are poorly trained. It's in serious need of some major investment. I paid £200 for my room which quite frankly was no better than a Premier Inn. It may well have been nice - in 1963

Vista from dining room As someone who travels and stays in many hotels, although the facilities may merit 4 aa stars the standard of the accommodation was of a lower level that I had been led to expect and the entire place seems tired ready for a refurb, possibly with the exception of the restaurant. Our room was particularly basic and sad, though clean and the bed was comfortable.

Stunning location, clean and efficient hotel. Food was vastly overpriced (£15 for 10 chips and half cod) and staff would not recommend other eateries. Disappointed with the food overall.

The location of the Hotel is magnificent, however the rooms are extremely overpriced and if it wasn't for the location I doubt the hotel would still be trading.
