The location and the breakfast were very good. On arrival the lady there to welcome us ( who wasnt the owner!) was a little off hand putting her make up on whilst speaking to us! Our room was freezing no heating we were offered another room but very small. I can only liken it to fawlty towers certainly not 4 star . Hoeeible smell of cheap air freshner everywhere. To date I lawys book through bookin.co and this is the first place I have complained about. |

The setting was beautiful as we were in the rooms which opened out onto the gardens. Excellent location for shopping. Breakfast was between 8 and 9 - rather early for a Sunday. Service at breakfast time was not up to standard. |

Close to river and town We were asked to pay for room on arrival, without seeing room, something that we have never had to do in any hotel. Our room was small and dark and no comfortable chair to sit in and breakfast was meager. Also T.V. was turned off at 10 A.M. in morning as we are slow to prepare for day out, we thought this petty. We emailed hotel with request about disabled parking, so they were aware that there was a problem, but still our room was quite a climb for us. |

Disappointing as they advertise themselves as 'welcoming' but on our arrival there was no friendly welcome they were just very matter of fact and requested payment before we were told out room number and told to go to the first floor. The room although small was spotless but there were no trouser hangers and nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. The breakfast was fine but again we were asked how many pople and did we want tea or coffee - no friendly 'Good morning, the only pople who were friendly were the cleaning ladies doing the rooms who were charming. The last thing is that everywhere had plug-in air freshners, a horrible chemical floral scent. In total - adequate but disappointing. |

I liked the central location The Staff were rude, the room was extremely small and dirty, and actually felt damp. There is no parking - generally felt let down by the whole experience. I booked it because it was listed as a 4 star, there is no way that it is 4 star. What a waste of £80!!! |

The room was clean and towels and bathroom were good. The website stated free internet throughout the hotel which was untrue. I had to go into the communal lounge to use the internet. The breakfast was pretty average and the coffee was horrible. |

The easy proximity of the town centre and good restaurants, shops, riverside walks and boating. No hotel parking with the need to go out before breakfast to renew parking ticket. The receptionist(owner ?)lacking in charisma, could be a little "sharp"when asked a question. We also object to having to pay before being allowed to our roomwhich we had to find ourselves. |

Ideal position close to all shops and restaurants. Lovely area to walk in. Rooms adequate for the length of stay we required. . We thoughly enjoyed everything. Th decor could do with modernising. We stayed in the lodge buidling which looked modern on the outside but carpets and interior design a bit disapointing. But did not detract the the lovely atmosphere. |

Shrewsbury town is quite cute, and this B&B is well-located. A wonderful restaurant, the Cornhouse, is 1/2 block away. Garden is attractive. The staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast orders & delivery were confusing for the staff, with items being delivered to the wrong tables. |

Within walking distance of all amenities in Shrewsbury town with handy nearby parking facilities and selection of restaurants. We were given a disabled room in the modern garden block ( we are not disabled but it was the last room available). The shower was large and efficient and we had no problem. Maybe the breakfast time could have been somewhat longer - say from 8-9.30 with a choice of fruit in addition to cereals. |

Really all that it had going for it was its good position and the fact that the room was clean. The room was dingy and depressing and the bathroom was very spartan. The breakfast selection, if you did not want a cooked breakfast, was cereal full stop - no fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. |

Very much liked this place, most centrally located, quiet, and offering basically everything you would expect from a well-run British B&B ... including the ubiquitous electric shower - as well as a surprising and wholly unexpected (charming) back garden. Owner/manager was helpful, and the place was perfect for our needs. |

The hotel felt homely, was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was lovely despite the basil faulty type owner! Location was great, near all the pretty shops and a great restaurant at the top of the road. The welcome was not great...I was asked to pay my room bill before I had even got my bags through the door! |
