As a late booking as my partner was unwell I feel the customer service was out of this world - we were very very well looked after, kenny even put an iced jug of water in our room for the night and ask me how he was in the morning - outstanding!. It was a very very comfy place to stay and all members of the team were so pleasant.

thought the sandpiper hotel was excellent value, it was clean and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful, for us it was just an overnight stop en route to our final destination but ive already told my friends about it and we would certainly stay there again. We ate an evening meal in the restaurant which was lovely and tasty . no negatives at all.

No stairs. Convenience. Helpful staff. Good restaurant. Comfy beds. Uninspiring views and locality. In spite of provision of comprehensive space heating equipment in our room ( No 24 ), the room remained rather too chilly. The cold windy weather and frosty nights at the time of our visit, may have influenced this adversly. Due entirely to the ludricous extension of the hotel's Post Code on Sheffield Road, our "on-board" Tom-Tom directed us into the centre of Chesterfield, causing an avoidable hour long hunt for the correct location of the hotel. This is an experience one needs to avoid following a long, tiring journey at the end of the day! The Hotel must GET a Number soon!!

Warm and friendly staff, the rooms are a good size, modern and well equiped. Location was convenient for our planned visit to the Steam museum at Barrowhill. The room was large and a King size bed would have suited it better.

Spacious rooms, inexpensive, best shower we've had so far! Lift so didn't have to lug heavy bags up stairs. Male staff was great-even helped us wipe snow off our car window! Needs bigger heaters in rooms, mattress too hard-had to sleep with a pillow under my hips and back-otherwise could feel springs.

“Exactly what a hotel should be. Rooms were clean and well equipped with good quality furniture and accessories. Nothing ostentatious but had everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent and the owner was welcoming and relaxed. We felt he was pleased to see us and interested in our reasons for visiting. We stayed in the area to collect my car from specialist engineers, and we will definitely stay in this hotel again next time we have work done on the car.” Elizabeth, Taffs Well Cardiff |
