Location is fantastic for Cardiff Central train and bus station. The staff were great.
the location is really good bc its located in the city center and near cardiff castle
there was no lift so it was not convenient for old and for heavy bags.
nice and friendly staff, nice rooms with tea/coffee in room.
rather squeaky floor boards in my room when walking around
Staff first class. Great breakfast.
No lift, although we knew that when we booked.
help with my luggage and transfer to a quiet room good value breakfast served with a smile! Proximity to shops and places of interest excellent near to railway station.
Décor needs updating but for a short city stop its ok.
Friendly, helpful staff Clean and tidy Good location
Radiator didn't work well - A bit chilly
Location, value and staff friendliness
The place just needs a revamp. But for the cost who could complain but dont expect the ritz
The beds were slightly hard, especially the bunk beds
Staff were very helpful and room was clean, bed was comfy, shower was hot. Room was at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet. Breakfast was very good.
Hotel was dated and could do with an upgrade
Staff was amazing. However. No elevator. I'm a student & had a large suitcase, carry on & a duffel. Room was small but not uncomfortable. The worst part....around 930 as I was getting ready, housekeeping just opened the door & walked right in. Not okay. They should really invest in the door tabs that read do not disturb. Or....just knock. I kinda lost it on her.
Clean and courtesies
Right in the middle of Cardiff Quiet
Lots of stairs Bit shabby (not dirty, just "tired")
Bang smack in the middle of Cardiff.Helpful friendly staff, breakfast very good, an older establishment but we like that.
Didnt really have any negatives
Central location Clean Modern bathroom Good heating Good helpful staff Had everything I needed no guff
WiFi was terrible TV didn't pick up all stations, was passworded preventing re tune
Location was great. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was nice
Heater didn't really work room was cold , tv was not working. It badly needs updating
central location, easy access for shopping.
as we were located directly above a nightclub, it was impossible to sleep. the music was very loud and went on until around 4am.there was also a party going on just around the corridor, in the restaurant where the breakfast was served.would not stay there again even if it was free.
The location for an overnight stay was excellent. Within walking distance of the bus station and shops. Although the hotel was in the middle of a busy street bustling with Xmas shoppers and party goers the hotel was quiet and we had an undisturbed night sleep.
I have always loved this hotel. It was lovely to be recognised after a break of several years. The excellent service of all staff and the particular help with changing bookings at short notice without fuss was really appreciated. I know there is no lift and I was on the 3rd floor and despite nearing 70, the exercise was good for me!!
The staff were exceptional, all very friendly and made you feel like a valued customer. Breakfast was first class and we were not rushed into having to be out of our room, and the hotel offered to look after our bags during the day we checked outr, if we wanted them to.
The room was comfortable, the breakfast was really good, and when I broke a glass in my room they were happy to send someone to clean it up and bring me a new one.
There was a leaky faucet in my bathtub, and it wasn't fixed by the time I'd left.
Nice size bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities in room and excellent breakfast, with excellent waiting on staff.
Ceilings were a bit off-putting and looked like they needed renovating. Room 1 was over the main street and a bit noisy late at night, but we still had a good night's sleep.
The great location and reasonable breakfast (but the sausage was a very cheap kind and the only bread available was sliced). Room was OK with clean bathroom
No lift but I was OK with that even though my room was up 59 steps. The hotel needs up dating a little. Also there was a dispute about whether I had paid in advance for breakfast which was settled .
We liked the location of hotel everything was with in walking distance . We went to the jazz restaurant where the food is excellent with lovely band playing with out a doubt its a excellent restaurant food was excellent service first class definitely would go there again
The only problem with the hotel is the stairs as there are quite a few steps other wise very good
The location was perfect, just walking distance from the coach station and in the middle of the city for food, entertainment.
Although the room itself was clean and well kept there was a faint odour of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. The decor in the room was very dark, shades of brown with dark wood panelling which gave the room the look of the late 1980's
Breakfast staff and room was flawless
