The hotel was easy to find. The reception area (on the first floor) is pleasant and the receptionist was extremely helpful. Our room was spacious and well appointed and the bathroom was excellent with a lovely deep bath and the shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was good with a choice of fruit juice, cereals, rolls, yoghurts etc. if you just fancy a light breakfast and a great choice of hot items if you fancy something more substantial. The staff on duty were very pleasant and cheerful. We will definitely use the Sandringham Hotel again.

Good location on the main street. The staff were very friendly. Good breakfast. Even though the street was noisy, the room was very quiet. Comfortable size room for the price. No lifts working. Shower weak.

The staff were so very friendly from reception to cleaners to the dining area. Unfortunately due to the hotel being situated in the town it was so noisy at night time from loud drunk people, to street cleaning and deliveries being done all night long. Was shattered in the morning.

The staff was great, everyone's gone an extra mile and service was superb, nothing was too much to ask. One of the ladies (I think her name was Carrie) was especially helpful and she chatted to us about must-see locations in Cardiff and outside the city and good places to eat out. Overall- excellent staff attitude and service, very friendly and genuine people! The location of the hotel is great, right in the heart of Cardiff, few minutes walk to train and bus station, walking distance to the castle and all shopping and food arcades. As the hotel is quite old and rooms close to each other, I found it a bit noisy with slamming doors, cracking stairs and very thin walls.

Everything was perfect - the staff was nice, breakfast was good, the room was small but OK. If needed, would stay there again. Very good location close to central station and coach station. Cardiff International Arena just in 5 minutes walking distance.
