Very good,
Score from 677 reviews
“ It was a really family run hotel. The people were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was excellent. Furthermore it is at the centre of the city and its small Cafe Jazz downstairs offers a unique opportunity for real good live music at discount rates for the clients. ”

Good cooked breakfast in the price. Discount on food and drink, and free entry to the Jazz Club downstairs. Being on the 4th floor with no lift when I have a bad knee. Noise from the aircon unit of adjoining premises and on one occasion, drunks in the road outside at 2am.

The staff were really personal and friendly. They seemed to go out of their way to help, from carrying my suitcases up the stairs too making suggestions of places to go for dinning all of which I appreciated. They also did a lovely fry up in the morning. The springs were worn on the bed. The floor was uneven...needed a modern revamp and quite noisy, due to a jazz bar being directly underneath.

Well situated for travellers who are on foot. Within walking distance of all attractions and shopping. Bit noisy when sleeping because of being in the centre of Cardiff, but then it wasn't hotels fault. Some of the revellers were a bit loud.

Very friendly and helpful staff; excellent location in City Centre; good breakfast selection; comfortable room No lift; shower mounted to wall (outdated) with no pressure (friend in room above me just had a whole in the wall!!!); be careful to check & compare prices. I intended to go back in August where the ** hotel is priced above ***/****Star chain hotels in similar location

The hotel is rather convenient for business travels. The rooms are small, however well equipped (wi-fi, telephone, electric tea-pot, hair dryer etc.). Surprising that it's only two-starred.

friendly and welcoming and extremely good value. The bar-restaurant below served a varied menu, again at good value with a nice choice or real ales and free jazz most evenins. Breakfast was swiftly prepared and filling. Bed was big and comfy and bathroom clean with great shower, Free wifi quick to connect and reliable. Not much not to like, the odd bit of uneven floor and creak gave character and for the price no complaints.!

Central in Cardiff, good friendly staff super breakfast. Needs updating badly and the noise from the road outside a bit off putting but one can expect that considering the position
