I thought the general atmosphere was excellent - friendly, warm and helpful. I had read negative reviews about the hotel and can honestly say not one of them applied to what I experienced, the hotel is excellent two star accomodation and I will glady return. We had have a bit of a whinge, inwardly, about the climb up the stairs. It was clearly marked though so it wouldn't be grounds for complaint and didn't affect our stay. |

The location of the hotel was excellent, just 5 minutes walk from Cardiff Central station and just around the corner from the main shopping area. Staff were extremely helpful. I was given a twin room for single occupancy which had a more spacious bathroom than you would find in most hotels for the same price. Despite other reviews I had read of the hotel I did not find the street outside to be that noisy late at night. Good selection for breakfast. Decor of the hotel seems rather dated, and the only heating in the room was a small electric radiator under the window which didn't really seem to do the job. |
