This cosy B&B is set on a quiet, residential street overlooking Stornoway Harbour on the Isle of Lewis.

Amazing views and easy access to town 10 min walk. Staff welcoming and breakfast more the ample. A definite return visit in the future and would recommend to anyone visiting to use when on the island.
Well looked after, nothing was a problem. Food was good, Room was just right Ideally situated for getting around Lewis Wi-Fi available - free
Jim, the owner, was great and the location was good.
The wifi didn't quite reach to our room. I think maybe it was becase of the fire door. It worded everywhere else just fine.
THE OWNERS VERY PLEASANT AND VERY HELPFULL.BREAKFAST EXCELLENT.VERY CLOSE TO TOWN CENTRE
The accommodation was okay; the breakfast facility and food was very good; service excellent. We were upgraded to an ensuite room which was fine.
The host seemed agitated about a variety of issues (not relating to us) and we felt it set a negative tone. In fairness we only stayed the one night but were anxious to move on.
View of the bay was nice.
Too far from bus depot and centre of town if your on foot.
It was convenient. It was well appointed. The breakfasts were great. The owner, Jim, was more than helpful and pleasant, offering 'taxi' rides into the Town. Jim was a wealth of local knowledge and advice. It is somewhere I would be happy to recommend to others and revisit if the opportunity arises.
There was nothing we didn't like. Jim, had no control over the weather!!
The owner was helpful and charming.
Little extra touches that made all the difference, e.g. the offer of a flask of tea/coffee when travelling to remote spots on the islands; the willingness to pick up & deposit guests at ferry or airport; the availability of a portable breakfast on day of my very early departure & good location & beautiful views.
Clean room and comfortable bed.
The three external CCTV cameras, video entry phone and camera covering the dining room made the B&B feel very unwelcoming and made me think that due to its location at the edge of town it provides short term emergency accommodation to the homeless. I stayed for one night and the other people I me were all tourists. Didn't sleep well as the blind and curtain still let a lot of early morning sunlight through. Thicker or blackout curtains would be a welcolm improvement.
the kindest of his owner and the confort of the room.
Cleanliness, ease of parking on site or on road outside. Only a few minutes drive from the Ferry terminal.
No en-suite except one room. The bathroom was really clean but it also contained the toilet so if someone was showering there was a wait. With late Ferries, guests can arrive right through the night affecting sleep. That is not a fault of the owners - just life!
Breakfast was good. Jim was able to provide us with a take away breakfast for an early ferry departure which was a nice touch
We had shared bathroom/toilet. It would have been better to separate the toilet from shower facility as there was only one bathroom on the first floor for the guests and it was a little tricky knowing when to use the facilities. Also with so many guests and such a small bedrom it would have been nice to have a guest lounge room available
The whole stay was very comfortable. The Owner could not do enough for us. He was friendly and very informative. I would recommend this Guest House.
The room was comfortable and facilities all worked as advertised. The breakfast was excellent. The bay right outside the guest house is a lovely place on a sunny day. The owners were polite and helpful, yet also know how to keep out guests way.
It was a 10-15 minute walk to town (which may be an issue for travellers without a car).
The location and view over the bay. The shared bathroom was quite nice.
The noise between one room and another was a constant disturbance. Despite there being a sink in the room, there was no facility to hang a towel or to put toiletries. A hair drier was available, however, it was not possible to plug it in close enough to be able to use the mirror. The plumbing was so noisy that you would not wish to use the sink in consideration of the people next door. Money was taken from credit card before our arrival, which was impolite. The breakfast menu suggested that there was fruit available, however, during our stay there was none available for anyone. The owner did not make any enquiry about whether we enjoyed our stay, and would, therefore, be oblivious to our concerns.
Very friendly landlord, lovely seaside location, quiet and close to the town
Radiator switched on full blast in the bathroom IN AUGUST!!!! What's the point of having a bath if by the time you've towelled off you are so sweaty you are back where you started???
They went out of their way to help me - getting up at 5.30am to make me breakfast before my marathon, then giving me a lift in to town to catch bus and lift to/from airport! X
View Friendly and helpful staff
Facilities slightly tired
I spent four nights at this establishment and was well pleased with my choice. As the most insightful review states, the breakfasts were excellent and the proprietor was friendly and obliging, to the extent of serving me a full breakfast at 6.45 am one morning. There was attention to little detail in that the teasmaid was always topped up and even the biscuits were on the generous side for a single occupancy. The location by the coast is also nice.
Fantastic view of Sandwick Bay from the private balcony of my room. Nice furniture, large room. Friendly and helpful staff.
My bathroom was across the hall. I knew this before booking, though.
Very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. The owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. Plenty of parking space, a short walk into the town centre.I would highly recommend a stay here.
There was nothing to dislike.
beautiful room perfect space for me on my own, stunning views of the bay, very close to the centre of town about 10 mins walk owners were friendly and helpful. wI'll def stay there the next time I'm in stornoway
Very friendly owners
A wee bit pricey for the room
