Breakfast Room Location
It was close to the hydro great restaurant's and cafés
Pillows to soft and need plugs next to bed side
I had just been spending 6 months travelling around hostels so when I came to Glasgow and saw that the only hostels available weren't that flash I decided to spend a little bit more and get a nice hotel. The Sandyford was the perfect place to stay for my time in Glasgow. It wasn't too expensive and the room was clean and comfortable and the WI-FI works well throughout the building. The only odd thing about the room was the placement of the TV, it is in a well peculiar position - I'm not sure whose idea was it to place it there. You'll see what I mean when you stay here. The location is ideal (2 minute walk from the Kelvingrove Museum) and a 15 - 20 minute walk to the city centre.
Our 2nd visit friendly staff comfortable clean beds excellent breakfast great location good wifi will be back
Nothing apart from going home
Location good for the SSEC
Very basic towels seen better days as well as beds. Bacon looks as if it's steamed.instead of fried no bar Daughters bed linen stained with a hair on it for company
Staff were helpfull, good breakfast
Shower room could have been cleaner and updated.
Everything we needed. Attentive staff. Good breakfast. Clean.
Could have done with some updating.
I liked the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff which means a lot to us. Breakfast was punctual and tasty with a good choice. Breakfast was also included in the price. It may not be luxurious like the hilton but where would you get the value for money anywhere else.
There was nothing we disliked.
near the hydro
no lift and no help given with bags
lovely comfy bed and soft comfy pillows and a great breakfast
being in the attic room sleeping under a veluxe window and unwelcoming staff
Good location Good breadfast Friendly staffs
No mushroom in breadfast for late commers Room size is just ok
No bar in hotel, had to Waite in reception for a seat in dinning room to be ssafed
Comfortable bed & excellent pillows.
Bathroom. Antique shower. Very basic soap. Very very poor towels. Shower mat was disgusting, covered in mold. Fixed height shower. NOT CLEAN IN BATHROOM. Requires significant upgrade.
Triple room available good value for money
Room overlooking main street which got quite noisy with traffic early morning. Breakfast is from 6.30am to 8.30am on a weekday which is quite annoying as I would imagine there are people using this hotel (as we were) for a local concert and not just for business and not looking to be up quite so early . A later breakfast time would have been nice :-)
Clean bathroom and room in general Spacious Can adjust heat easily Lovely breakfast great, helpful staff
Beds not the comfiest No inside lock Breakfast far too early
Friendly Staff, spacious room and excellent breakfast. Great location and made to feel really welcome and will definately be back.
Good staff,good breakfast, good sleep
nice soft bed.
was no lift on stairs, women had back injuries, noisy at nite. long walk into town.
Staff were very helpful especially when I elongated my stay there. Room quiet and comfortable. Easy access to city centre, bus right outside door. Great places to eat in vicinity.
If I had to pick something the breakfast room and layout is a bit fiddly and breakfast itself slightly poor.
Friendly helpful staff Homely atmosphere Locality of hotel is good for Art Galleries (Hunterian & Kelvingrove) and shopping on Byers Rd
The hotel was quaint but modern with excellent facilities
Too hot down in the dungeon for breakfast also too many stairs up to our room Kenny Glasgow
No bar or restruant. Only the type of hotel suitable for young people on stag or hen parties or single traveler. I would stay there again but not with wife it is very basic accommodation.
room was nice and clean.right next to a lovely restaurant cant remember spelling but was burkamar or something similar
being on the top floor like in the attic was a bit of a pain, but eh good exercise, major operation getting ready in toilet not much room
