Lovely old buildings around a courtyard in a beautiful country village with a magnificent Minster. Under no circumstances stay in a rear room unless you are hard of hearing. Your only view will be 2 ventilation ducts which roar 24 hours a day. |

Lovely wooden beamed, log fire hotel. Lots of history and a great breakfast. No parking til after 5pm due to church visitors filling up the car park. Some nights can be noisy due to church bells ringing from 6pm to 8pm, and next doors male voice choir that can be heard throughout the hotel from 8pm until 10pm. |

The welcoing staff and the festive feel (decorations etc). The hotel , although comfortable, looks in need of a makeover. The stair carpet has sticky tape on it; the ladies toilets are small and unattractive. The rooms, although large and spacious were in need of new furnishings and upholstery. There was no water. |
