Originally built for Queen Adelaide in the mid 1830s, The Royal Adelaide Hotel is an elegant Georgian building with a striking blue front, an impressive original exterior and large sash windows.
Score from 545 reviews Good
This 17th-century house is between the banks of the Thames River and Windsor Castle. It is now a 4-star hotel and has free Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, an award-winning restaurant and a spa.

Building was nice and staff friendly
No air-conditioning in the room.
Lots of parking close by Overall look of the hotel - not exploited enough Wi-fi and the room with fireplace to start the days' work Quiet - peaceful
Hard to find and quite out of the way No idea of my booking when I got there Front desk staff quite arrogant - made issues where they didn't exist. Poor.
Great location for running and the fitness centre well equipped
No responsiveness of the front desk personnel. Sub-standard cleaning of the room
Good pub food nearby -short drive.
Not easy to locate and out of the way. Big conference hotel. Old and needs a Reno.
The staff were all fabulous, without exception. Very eager to please and extremely courteous. Lovely breakfast. The spa area and pool, although these were taken up by a 50th birthday party when we visited. The situation of the hotel so close to Windsor Great Park.
The disgusting smell in the room (we had one at the end of the building) - a bit like a mix of damp and cigarettes. At least one of the lights in the room wasn't working and the bedspread was dirty. The fact that the hotel was overrun by an awards ceremony on the evening that we stayed so there was no chance of getting near the bar. The hotel was just very dull and lacking in any kind of atmosphere - was very disappointed that i'd booked it for our first child-free break in years - romantic it was not!!
Lovely comfortable room, beautiful location, 2nd stay in hotel and would happily be back for 3rd.
On our morning of checking out me and my partner got up early to use sauna and steam room before we left. For some un-known reason they were both not working and there were no staff at the reception desk in spa to ask, hense we didn't get our sauna before we left.
Free bike hire was brilliant!!
The grounds themselves were amazing, our room was small but really cosy and had lots of amenities, such as a iron, ironing board, trouser press, fridge, ice bucket, tea & coffee facilities etc. we loved the fact it was a little out the way (15 mins to Windsor) it was in such a romantic setting! Would be gorgeous to get married here!
We felt the room service prices were very expensive aswell as the room service breakfast, especially considering you had to pay a tray charge on top. Wish there were more seats in the lounge as we really wanted to sit and have a drink but it was really busy. We also really wanted to go for a massage but felt the prices were too high.
- Location - buildings spread over large area, gives the opportunity for a lot of exercise and fresh air - well equipped fitness
- don't come if you need to be connected
The hotel is well situated, clean, and the staff welcoming. The bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and willing to please, if a little amateur. With a little direction they could be a great team. Steak and fries for dinner was good My room was comfortable and close to the reception and restaurant / bar.
Shower, but no bath.. I think that the food and drink was a little over priced.
From arrival to departure we were made to feel welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel stunning, the room beautiful - we'll definitely be back.
Lovely setting, comfortable room (once of asked to be moved) good nights sleep. Very friendly efficient staff. Good wifi.
More of a convention venue than a luxury hotel, very few public rooms to relax and work, and horribly loud Muzak In the lounge bar (although they turned if off when I asked), food average and rather over priced. Decor a bit worn and dated. I think it's needs some work to really be value for the considerable amount of moment it costs to stay there 4 days. (Oh and terrible coffee!!).
The location is brilliant and it is a very restful place. The staff are helpful and the service excellent.
small room/noisy guests,tv didnt work properly, pidgeons roosting outside window.thin walls, hear everything in next door bedroom.
Enjoyed use of the pool and spa Facilities were spotless and the temperature was just right. A good place to relax.
Would like to visit spa after 9 pm
Pleasantly suprised at how nice this hotel was!
The building is in a very nice setting and our room's view was of the lovely grounds. Staff were pleasant and polite. Comfortable room with nice breakfast in the morning.
The tap for the wash basin was too small. When we turned it on the water would only reach the edge of the basin making the water flow half out of the basin and half in to it. This made washing a little difficult
Payment was taken prior to stay without being notified, and charged for two doubles and not one double and single. However, staff swiftly rectified the problem and reimbursed promptly.
Quiet peacefullness - lovely room.
Everything was fine
Room got too hot during the night making sleep difficult.
Beautiful scenery great staff great food nice touch with the chocolates and water in the room had room service was excellent hotel was busy but all the staff were in control and working well please pass on our appreciation
Nothing there was nothing to dislike
The food was excellent as was the dining room staff. All very friendly and anxious to please when serving meals. The location is ideal for short breaks and especially for visiting Windsor and surrounding tourist locations.
The bedroom was adequate but perhaps a little cramped. Unfortunately a violent thunderstorm on the second night caused the fire alarms to activate 6 times for which the management apologised and offered a free re-visit.
Very welcoming, comfortable, light and airy. Exceptional value compared to other hotels in this area. Wi fi free access, and very easy to connect to.
Close to Heathrow Airport Location perfect, beautiful grounds, nice building. Close to Windsor Castle and Centre (5 min drive) Staff very helpful
Wifi was not great, but they did give me a cable for the room Had better beds at a travellodge and premier inn bathroom small Limited TV channels
