Excellent VFM and location 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Ideal for a night out on the town. Good sized rooms, bathrooms and comfy beds. No cooked brealfast as advertised, buffet style only instead and no double beds only twins which is fine for a girls or lads stop over but not if it is for couples. Carpets looking tired and could do with freshening up

I was very pleasantly surprised at the welcome and comfort at such a competitive price. The room was clean, warm, well equipped and comfortable. I would be very happy to stay there again, should I return to Wakefield.

Good value for the money. Nice full English breakfast, friendly staff and close to the city. It was just perfect for two "ladies" who loves shopping :-) We were a bit unlucky, the heating broke down in the building one morning, but the landlady fixed it with a portable heater in our room. That´s good service :-) Maybe some hooks on the wall in the bathroom.????

Value for money. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Fresh flowers in reception. Outside appearance is a bit off-putting.

Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was cooked to a good standard. Room was generally suitable to our needs with an infant travelling with us. The room was situated over looking the street and this was a little noisy with some construction taking place a few doors away. The room appeared slightly dusty with the carpet slightly dirty. There was no soap/ complimentary toiletries in the bathroom.

I always get lost. It was very warm receiving the staff's call at 8pm while I was totally tired, frustrated, and in the middle of street- finding. She even stood outside the guesthouse waited for me (after another 20 mins...). House is clean. Very good value. No shampoo or shower gel, just I forgot to bring and didn't ask for.

Friendly landlady ready to help me find the places I had come to see and suggest some more attractive places to visit. Good cooked breakfast speedily produced. Handy parking spot behind property. My pillow was a bit of a brick, but that is a matter of preference, I like a soft pillow.
