Staff were good and breakfast very good

Only one towel between two

We booked a "Twin Room Sea View" but instead had a small room at the back of the hotel, which was not suitable for a young child. When we asked why we did not get a sea-view, the receptionist said that none of the rooms had a sea view. The description on booking.com is therefore inaccurate. Had we known this, we would have booked another hotel. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Excellent helpful staff. Comfy beds and crisp clean bed linen. Staff ensured us early risers had a breakfast we could take with us or eat in our rooms and it was prepped for us the night before.

Room was cold on arrival but soon heated up. Decor is a bit tired. Bathrooms lacked shelf storage. Small fridge in room would be helpful.

Location is perfect,

Dusty room, shower room needs serious update, TV needs to be at least in a middle of the room and not on the side of it somewhere by the door. And it's not hygienic to have a carpets in a hotel room. It needs to be more contemporary and not the Queens Victoria style. Service was good, breakfast should have some desert option like croissants or etc.

The bed was comfortable

The receptionist was not very professional The hospitality tray was dangerously placed and mean in its offerings the breakfast was awful -no fresh fruit and I asked for tomatos and mushrooms only and I had two halves and a smattering of mushrooms, and the next day I requested no mushrooms so had 2 tomatoes, whereas my husband had one half of a tomato and a few mushrooms - yet we sav ed the hotel much more in money by not eating eggs or bacon etc.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The morning was started with a lovely cooked breakfast.

Think the rooms should be double glazed as there was a lot of noise from rowdy people during the night and early hours of the morning. The dividing walls are quite thin too and we heard the people in the next room snooring. Hence, we did not have a good night's sleep.

Staff are exrtremely friendly and thoughtful. It is well place for the beach and transport

Rooms are in process of being upgraded so that is good. Need something going on in the bar as they could make much more of the place

Very freindly staff and helpful if any problem arose. Also the lift facility was excellent for us as we are both nearly 70 years old

We loved the location and the hospitality of the staff. Easy access to the beach and shops.

Speed of checking in + pleasent friendly staff

The couple in room 33 directly above the room we were staying in on Saturday 15 july should be awarded a gold medal for bedroom Olympics They kept us awake for at least 1/2 hour

the hotel had a lift which was perfect for my mother as she cant climb stairs. the breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful and would stay there again.

The room was very dated. The bathroon was tiny and we were welcomed by a black curly hair that looked suspiciously like a pubic hair on the sink in the bathroom. It was instantly noticeable if a final check had been made of the room I am sure someone would have rmoved it prior to our arrival. The milk sachets in the room were not fresh and we had to throw our tea away n the morning becaue it smelt funny. For these reasons we were unable to stay for breakfast as e did not trust that it would be nice.

Närheten till stadskärnan, havet, stranden och piren. Man såg stranden/havet från rummet om man tittade i sidofönstret. Trevliga typiska engelska sällskapsrum på nedre våningen. Frukosten var helt ok, man fick välja och den lagades efter det man valde. Value for the money skulle jag säga. Bra att det fanns hiss som gick till alla våningsplan

Utchekning är redan kl. 10.30 och de ville ha 10 pund extra för att vi skulle få behålla rummet en timme extra. Dåligt med tanke på att hotellet inte var fullbelagt. Wifi var trög men funkade trots allt till slut.

Friendly owners

The winter weight duvet - 13 tog - only appropriate in a very cold winter! The alternative was the sheet and a rather grotty blanket in the cupboard. This was sufficient as the room was quite warm and cosy being small. When I arrived there were 2 pillows in one pillowcase. One was totally lumpy and extremely uncomfortable, the other softer and flatter. Having a shoulder injury and neck problems I chose the softer one but it was too thin on its own so I asked for another.This was sufficient as the room was quite small and cosy. The curtain rail was set out from the window by a few inches so the curtains did not keep the light out and I was awakened each morning about 6am.

Breakfast very poor,hotel decor very tired, unhappy to be paying good money to share a hotel with dhss, drug addicts and refugees!!!

The good: the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was quite nice.

The bad: although it is located opposite Eastbourne Pier which was great, it is also next to a pub which meant it was very loud at night due to drunk people which made it difficult to sleep. We were even woken up at 3:30am by a fight in front of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel only to heavy sleepers!
