Warmth of both the staff and the hotel.
Convenient location and nice and close to the sea.
Atmosphere, garden, location, most staff.
Member of staff was abrupt and unhelpful over our visit.
We found the Savoy Park to be in a charming old mansion in a good location with ample parking. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast there. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay, the room was spacious, clean and lovely, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Peaceful obliging staff
Room a bit cool but an extra heater was brought in to rectify the situation
Great dinner and good breakfast. Hotel is in the grand style but lots of the comforts of home.
The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean. The food was lovely and very good value.
Lovely building with lots of character. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Large room and comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe space etc. Lovely dining room.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was excellent....
I thought the bed was too firm but my wife said it was fine.
Spacious room, beautiful design and park.
Nothing I can think of.
The food and service were also very good
The dog was very welcome
Next to the sea a small walk from the town. Really nice and friendly staff which is really nice makes you feel welcome.
Friendly helpful staff Dog friendly Good food Nice place
The superior room was lovely . We really liked it
Thought the dining area a bit to dark Need to brighten it up a bit
Excellent room with ample space. Ensuite bathroom very good. Food very tasty.
The friendliness of all staff nothing was too much trouble and they were very approachable. The food was exceptional and want to give the chefs a pat on the back, well done and keep up the good work, as we shall be returning!!
Would like to have seen tablecloths, only a couple of tables had them and maybe placemats too. Can i also say that i would loved to have had a biscuit with my cuppa before my bed, but the positives outshone the negatives, well done!!
dated furnishings and decor, poor room ameneties and generally in need of better upkeep
Good location, 5 min walk to beach and town. Breakfast has a good choice of cooked breakfast. Self service. Evening meals are well cooked and presented. The waiting staff are young and keen to please but not subservient.
Unfortunately the receptionist who was on duty the day we arrived wasn't as welcoming as she could have been. she spoke loudly across the office to us; she didn't come over to the desk where we were standing, she remained seated.Had the receptionist we had on leaving been on the day we arrived we would have felt very differently. Also, the room we booked was a superior double and we didn't feel that room 19 on the top floor at the furthest point in the hotel was of that standard. I wish now that I had specified that we would have liked room 1 as that was a very comfortable room that, in November 2013, would have been a superior double. We have stayed here before and I gave a very favourable review and I hoped to do the same again.I would stay here again, but I will be specific about which room I would like.
First time staying at this hotel, certainly wont be my last. Me & my 6yr old daughter stayed for 3 nights; from the moment we walked in they were extremely helpful. Spotless everywhere in the hotel, food was fabulous which was buy one get one free (all homemade). Fabulous, traditional scottish hotel with all the trimmings. I will certainly be back.
No negatives at all.
The staff were pleasant, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for early breakfast as we were going to the Commonwealth Games and this was available, good food and available at the time we requested. The dinner menu was varied, and very enjoyable. Room 19, although on the second floor, was spacious and had a good view of the garden, where seating was available for just relaxing or for enjoying outside dining.
Good service and pleasant staff at a good price.
Excellent hotel. Great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay again.
Perfect location-close to beach and shops.Room at rear of hotel and was very quiet- good nights sleep.Lots of hot water and good breakfast.Staff pleasant.
Rooms on top floor have narrow steep winding stairs-no lift. Small garden view window needed cleaning.Brass socket for towel rail corroded also switch for roof blind in same condition. No seal on shower glass -water drips on to floor
Staff were very helpful Hotel was very clean
Room was very small Bed was very hard and not comfortable Breakfast was poor Didn't think it was worth what we paid
