unfotunately the hotel was being painted and new carpets fitted so the bar and resturant were out of use,, this gave a bad view of the hotel, no doubt a good quality hotel we just hit it at the wrong time,it would have been helpfull if we had known when booking!! |

staff were great, very curteous, showed us to our room, got us drink when required, got us directions for church on remembrance sunday, really nice people bathrooms were a bit on small side, wash hand basin really small, swing doors into bathroom also a bit dodgy at times, could slip out of hooks and catch you, and unfortunately the lamb madras was nice enough, but it was really just lamb stew, never a curry, drink prices also a bit steep |

Nice hotel and friendly people. The bathroom was not clean everywhere, only on places you see on the first sight. The two-wing door to the bathroom is disagreeable. |

The atmosphere was just right. Not imposing but relaxing with beach and Town within walking distance. Reception not staffed. Having to search for members of staff to a) Get a drink from the bar and b) Check out.On both occasions I rang the bell yet still had to go and find someone. |

Our room was very big and comfortable with a lovely outlook over the walled garden. The hotel was within easy walking distances of Ayr town centre and the beach. Also had a meal in the hotel which we both enjoyed. |

Unfortunately we had to limit our stay to one instead of two nights because of family circumstances. Although we were clearly in an unrefurbished bedroom in need of some updating ,the room was comfortable and adequately heated. The breakfast service was excellent. |
