Friendly owners, lots of local knowledge of places to eat and visit. Comfy rooms, plenty of space and lots of drawer/wardrobe room. Very clean and modern shower room. Great breakfasts and lovely views from breakfast room

Spotlessly clean. Owners extremely helpful, went out of their way to accomodate our requests. Room was big, comfortable and well-furnished. Breakfast was good.

Large spacious comfortable room, very very clean. Great location, walking distance of Robin Hoods Bay, short drive to Whitby. Lovely friendly helpful hosts who cook a fabulous breakfast.

The rooms were bright, airy and very decorated to a high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable. The managers were very friendly, helpful and gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived. The breakfast was gorgeous, it definately set us up for the day! I would definately stay here again and reccommend this hotel to our friends and family.

The one minor critisism i would have is the room we stayed in (Rural Double) there wasnt a mirror near a plug socket. Us ladies like to dry / straighten our hair in the mirror, this was only possible after i did a lteelt re arranging of the hanging pictures!. Everything else was perfect.

The house is beautiful and in an excellent location - 5 minutes walk to Robin Hood's Bay and a short drive to Whitby. We had a lovely sea view room which was spacious and tastefully decorated. Heather and Des were welcoming and friendly and supplied us with an excellent breakfast. We would go back.

Nowhere to put bathroom items. Our personal preference is a firm mattress, so the one we had was too soft for us, however it is a personal preference and not a criticism.

Saxon Villa is a guest house I would recommend without hesitation to anyone wishing to visit the Robin Hood's Bay area. My wife and I received a very warm welcome and were very pleased with the quality of our room in every respect - it was tastefully decorated, very large and comfortable and with glimpses of the sea beyond the garden and surrounding rural landscape. Saxon Villa is also exceptionally well placed for visits to Whitby, Scarborough and the North York Moors National Park. We would certainly visit again if /when we are in the area in the future.

We have no complaints whatsoever.

Heather and Des are wonderful hosts, they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable, they have bucketloads of local knowledge and can recommend lovely things to do all around the area.

It's a shame we couldn't stop longer!

Excellent service from arriving to leaving. Des and Heather are brilliant hosts. Views are fantastic and local pub serves good food..Breakfast was really nice with fresh fruit and well presented cooked breakfast. Will definitely return very soon.

The b & b was excellant,the breakfasts were amazing and the hosts heather and des went above and beyond.The rooms had everything you could want and were large and clean

The cleanliness of the guest house. The design of the room and bathroom. The breakfast. Owners very welcoming and friendly. The glass of port when we came in from the pub!

The only negative was I chose a superior sea view room but because it was an upper floor room, the window was small and high so couldn't see out easily

The rooms were fantastic and very clean. Great hosts! We got engaged whilst we were there and they even bought us a card and chocolates.

This new B&B is exceptional. The propietors were very friendly and helpful and served a home cooked Breakfast to "Order "which far exceeds the stale cold breakfasts served in 5 -star hotels We would stay there again

Saxon Villa, was decorated very tastefully, it was lovely and clean. The rooms are a good size and showers powerful. The extra thought for traveller`s comfort, such as hair dryers, toiletries and welcome tray are great. A lovely place to stay. Very friendly

Lovely bed & breakfast in great location, big rooms with nice view, very light, bright and lovely decorated. Owners are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is great.

Heating was turned off during the night and room became very cold and uncomfortable with outside temperature of only around 0 Celsius. Only came back on at 7am.

The Saxon villa was perfectly situated our room had a fantastic view of the sea and country, we would certainly stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at saxon villa, the food was fantastic, and the room was excellent. The owners were really friendly and welcoming and we would definitely go there again.
