The Saxon Holme Hotel  

The hotel was cold, dirty the staff were at best disinterested and at worst rude and unhelpful . In short the room ranks a level best with a room in tripoli run by the Colonels Prison staff.

The staff were brilliant, very accommodating and friendly. They even kept the bar open so we could stay up and chill out after our very busy evening. Breakfast was ok.

The bathroom wasn't very clean. The hotel lacked a woman's touch. Attention to detail, bedding, towels etc. Lovely guys that ran it though. Would go back

The hotel was ok needs upgrading really bad we where over the reception and it was so noisy people coming and going all night. breakfast was good very quick when you ordered it .To be honest i was not looking forward to the hotel as i had seen the coments from other people. one night was enough wouldnt stay any longer the bed was really old not recomended if you have a bad back.marks out of 10 is 4

Have to say after reading all the negative comments was a little concerned about the stay but was pleasantly surprised. Nice staff and good sized well equipped rooom. Had meal in indian restaurant in huse and it was fantastic. All in all a very relaxing stayover with great food. Exactly what I paid for and got. You want to paid £80 to £100 for a room with trouser press then go to more expensive hotels but this was perfect and would definitely go again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Good atmosphere. Very good value for money. Would recommend to others.

Staff very polite. Bathroom needs updating..very tatty. Room good all round. Breakfast very good. Staff serving appeared new to the game, but tried hard and need to learn a bit more about English ways. Overall good value and we would stay again.

Saxon Hotel, out of words...... Value for money yes but I have learnt a lesson never to be cheap and always book on time, shower was so dirty as there were human hairs everywhere and the bathroom itself is really out of date extremly poor and I didnt even have a shower when I was leaving it was that bad.

It is badly in need of repair. The skirting boards in the bathroom were hanging off. The bedding looked washed but was so old it didn't look good. The shower was freezing but the bath water was hot. Cups used for tea were not washed each day. Breakfast was ok and the staff seemed ok when you could find them. Overall decor was old and tired looking.

Convenience of location and cost. Accomodation was clean and comfortable and breakfast was adequate.
