ive only got one small complaint about the hotel and that is the bed I slept in was probably a bit old the mattress wasn't very comfortably.
Very enjoyable stay, spotless rooms great breakfast, could not fault anything,a big thank you to everyone...
I travelled with my elderly father and the staff could not have been kinder. All the facilities were excellent and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Location. Service. Food. Price
Slightly dated but good value.
The hotel was spotless very where you went, we occupied three rooms and they were all spotless. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly a great family run hotel. We had dinner in the hotel for two nights and the menu was very good with a great choice and very well priced at £18 per head for 5 courses. Only a 10 min walk into Whitby and they offer secure car parking for only £1 for your entire stay. many Thanks for a great weekend to the Newton family and all of there staff.
Room very hot but turned radiator off and opened windows. As the bathroom was on the small size.
like the rooms nice size lots of hot water good food really nice staff
army blankets on bed bit rough car park bit of mud bath needs work
Large clean bedroom. Good food and friendly helpful staff. It is a family hotel well run and well looked after.
The bed was too soft for someone with a bad back.
A family run hotel, where the guests still come first.High levels of cleanliness. The staff are welcoming ,and quietly efficient .A well run hotel who put their guests at ease.Alison was great, and nothing was too much trouble. set in a quiet back road, with just a very short walk to the sea front.
The staff really helpful. Really lovely breakfast and good choice. Had a smoothie one day and quality of food good. Very clean and spacious room. Good choice of drinks in the room and good sized kettle. Quiet location and easy for the beach,
Bath very narrow and due to glass splash not opening up fully, difficult to get in an out. Shower great though. Car park charge, even though only a pound - seems a bit silly when it says there is parking and you are paying a premium for the room.
Really friendly staff, rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and Evening Meals were excellent and the service was really great. Would definately stay again.
Hotel was very clean, very comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were extremely polite and helpful.
we thought the hotel was a bit expensive but it was the goth weekend, breakfasts were good and rooms are clean and well decorated service at meal times eccellent
Comfortable with good menu's
Everything could not fault a thing
The breakfasts were good although in a hotel a wider choice may have been expected eg scrambled eggs with smoked salmon (the hotel already offers scrambled eggs as an option). The hotel itself is lovely; old fashioned and charming in a good way.
The beds were hard not 'firm' which gave us poor sleep quality. This is the only thing that would prevent us from staying there again.
1. Location, just around the corner to the promenade 2. Excellent accommodation 3. Excellent service and friendly staff including family members 4. Excellent food and choice 5. A warm friendly atmosphere 6. The feeling of "I want to stay longer" and "I will be back as soon as possible"!
staff demeanour and attentiveness, attention to detail in the rooms private parking
Room was a bit on the small side.
Hotel staff very friendly, really enjoyed stay.
Would.'ve liked a later bar time but as could go into town not too much of a problem.
Nice place to stay.
A well run family hotel
The friendly staff who make you welcome the moment you enter. The comfortable surroundings, lovely breakfasts.
parking arrangements - but blame Scarborough Council for that!
