Saxonville Hotel  

Nice, quiet location away from the city center but still an easy (uphill) walk from the railway station. Well maintained; comfortable, pleasant, home-like atmosphere.

No WiFi. (The only reason I rate the facilities a 4 rather than a 5.)

it was a very lovely hotel spotlessly clean the staff were all very freindly and very helpful. Although we didn`t have the evening meal the breakfast was excellent!!!!! would definitely stay there again can`t recommend it enough

Staff all very helpful and professional. Hotel spotlessly clean and well maintained. Had a genuine old fashioned friendliness about it.

Second floor room - the shower was not much more than a trickle, but there was a lovely bath.

we had double delux, twin delux and standard single all were very comfortable . Breakfasts were very good and table service excellent from the efficient and friendly staff .

only negative in our delux double we could hear a motor / fan/ generator on the outside wall

Brilliant attentive staff, old fashioned style of a hotel but not in a bad way as they appear to appreciate the way a hotel was run with the service that goes with it!

No free wifi, which is becoming essential for this type of hotel but that wouldn't stop us staying there again as the hotel is so good.

Proffessionaly friendly with excelent manners from staff. Old fashioned treatment. Will return if ever returning to this part of the country.

Expensive evening meal prices. I wish British hoteliers would learn from other countries. If you want guest to eat in not out be computable. .

The hotel was lovely and enhanced by the warm welcome from all of the staff. The food was delicious and excellently cooked and presented. I suffer from a wheat allergy and cannot eat gluten, the hotel went above and beyond to cater for my needs including the evening meal. We would definately stay here again. 10/10

The only minor criticism was the dryness of the air in our room and in fairness we could have fixed this by opening our window.

Warm and Friendly with a wealth of experience of exacting needs of the guests. The Staff were particularly helpful, courteous which created a relaxing atmosphere and the food & drink was exceptional.

The food was excellent. Menus were well thought out, food delicious and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable with well stocked tea tray; Hot chocolate, Yorkshire tea bags and coffee with plenty of milk. Hotel car park - free. Will certainly stay here again.

from arrival to leaving all the staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms immaculate and food to die for. This was our second visit and it will not be our last.
