Very friendly staff - Will is a credit to the Hotel. Food excellent especially the apple crumble! Quiet location - ideal for a good nights sleep.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our favorite place to stay- excellent food and a relaxed peaceful feeling anywhere on the property.

Pretty hotel with lovely comfortable rooms. Excellent evening meal in the conservatory, staff were brilliant, really friendly. Overall a lovely relaxed evening. Very good value for money.

this is a really nice hotel but it needs a lot of attention to the cleaning - our room had not been dusted or the carpet cleaned - in quite a while. some of the public areas had not been dusted - again in quite a while. there are skylights over the stair well and the landing but they are so dirty that no light comes in. The reception desk was dated and we could see into the office behind which was really messy.

Staff were really good The Food was great Family room was very spacious. The whole family really liked the hotel.

This is just a personal thing but don't like carpet in bathrooms

Room was musty; beds too firm & squeaky mattresses; stains from previous leak on ceiling; wallpaper peeling away on ceiling; damp and dirt on window frames, stains on chairs; Bathroom & room in desperate need of updating.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating, The chef and barman went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted and their customer service was excellent, It made my stay more pleasurable

The room was slighlty cold as no heating on but you possibly wouldnt expect this in May

It was an ideal stop on way to Oban from Devon. Staff were welcoming but we were the only ones dining. Great value for money.

We found the staff at the hotel to be extremely helpful and friendly and couldn;t fault them. We had an evening meal which was lovely and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast. It:s also in a gorgeous setting close to the river Lune wher there are plenty of lovely walks.

We stayed in May and the weather was wet and cold. There was no heating in the rooms and even though a little fan heater was provided the bathroom was still cold . The hotel is a little dated and tired and could definitely do with a revamp.

We only spent 1 night in the hotel on our way to Scotland for a 3 week break. Everything was absolutely wonderful, the food was piping hot and delicious, the room spotless and extremely comfortable and we would recommend the hotel to anyone. We have indeed already done so to friends who will be travelling to Scotland in September.

The building was in beautiful surroundings I would stay again.

I got woken up at 4:30am by a shouting arguing couple which continued for 30 mins then they tried to get in my room mistakenly as their room was next door. Then the male locked the female out and there was some banging and shouting for the next 30 mins. No one from the hotel staff came to do snything

A warm welcome and a very comfortable overnight stay on our way up North. Very convenient - just off M6. Really good value for money.

Overbearing commercial radio played in bar on a television. Once everyone else had gone we tried to turn it off with no success!

Tucked away but so near everything. Quiet, friendly, personalised service. Lovely location, great getaway area in general. Great welcome. Would definitely stay again.

The staff are great and the building & location is pretty. Décor in each rooms is different & individual , nice period touches. Clean with good facilities. Short drive to Lancaster centre for shopping & pubs / dining.

Room a bit small this time, décor could do with a bit of an update, bathroom bin had not been emptied but otherwise v clean.
