Good location in Perth.
Parking difficult but manageable.
Leisure centre pool and suana always warm
Lift not working Electronic keys failed on all 3 days Music in dining room anoying
Great service from Kat, who addresses guests by name. Lurgh(from Orkney) was friendly and chatty, and good service from Night Porter on thurs 20Nov
Bedrooms a little dated. Restaurant not very well marketed, no menu in room or at Reception, and also difficult to find
The hotel was close to the city centre within 10 minutes walk. The room had all the facilities that you would expect of a Best Western hotel in the room, staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast on both days was well cooked and the service efficient.
Wi-Fi was poor throughout the hotel I managed to get a signal in the room but only just, the signal in the bar an foyer area was not much better. I was in a single room however the bathroom was half the size of a normal one I suspect which is not a criticism of the Queens per say but of almost all hotels that have single rooms they seem to think a half size bathroom is all that's required for single occupancy.
meeting room--service and bacon rolls
noise from bus station
Pool and leisure facilities were good. Breakfast was good too.
Arriving in Perth on a very busy weekend to be told that my booking had not been transferred to their system from Booking.com. There was a suggestion that we would be transferred to their sister hotel (without leisure facilities and further away) for our first night and they would then see what they could do about our second night. Travelling with my mother location was chosen to be within walking distance of city centre and this hotel was chosen for its pool. The manager was politely but firmly told that given that we had booked over 6 weeks in advance it was apparent that other bookings had been taken after that which apparently had the effect of displacing us and that we required that those bookings were to be displaced before us. The manager sorted this out and we were allowed to check in, however, it was not a very good start to our weekend and we therefore in future if using Booking.com would never again assume that our booking was reserved.
I asked for a quiet room but was given a room facing main road with a window that wouldn't lock.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms (if rather dated), good food at breakfast and dinner. Excellent conference venue - near bus and train stations, good rooms, helpful staff.
The room keys - in 2 nights stay I was up and down to reception to get cards programmed many times, trying to access our room. Finally, an actual key was produced, which got stuck in the lock, and we had to move all our belongings to the next room! No compensation was offered.
Just about every aspect of our stay - very comfortable, with good food. The staff desderve a special mention for their attitude and friendly, efficient service.
Creaky floorboards a bit of a nuisance late at night, but at our age we creak a bit too, so no real criticism.
Really needs an upgrading
Hotel areas were tired looking could do with some inward investment.
Leisure facilities and meals
Very noisy outside - until 3am - from people from hotel (wedding party) waiting for taxis and using the smoking area beneath bedroom window that didn't close allowing noise and smoke to penetrate room. Rang reception at 12.25 to complain - got worse after that! Reception very offhand when I reported matter on checking out. Cobwebs in room (213). By far the worst Best Western hotel I have stayed at.
Well placed for shops
Excellent breakfast.Staff at reception very good.
Very noisy from next rooms
Staff and service very good.
Dated decor of bedroom and bath suit.
Easy access to city centre with car parking, friendly staff, breakfast good choice
The room was very small in fact the smallest we have ever stayed in, with uncomfortable small double bed, dated furniture and squeaky floor boards,no atmosphere in the bar with over priced bar tariff for the level of service offered
staff were helpful
shower was a complete joke. It basically was not fit for purpose
we have stayed at this hotel before has been recently upgraded excellent value.
car parking is limited
Decent location. Friendly staff.
Old, tatty, smelly hotel. Leisure club dirty.
Use of leisure facilities Breakfast WI FI
Décor Bit outdated.
