room clean with good decor (with a scottish theme). Rest of hotel clean, quiet and friendly. Room warm, bed very comfortable. Good breakfast. we were in a smallish room on the 3rd floor, up narrow stairs well away from the splendour of the 1st and 2nd floors. The ensuite shower was quite old and rickety.

All staff very helpfull in particular Angelica the waitress Pool attendent and facilities very good Sitting and lounge areas very dull and as it was cold outside the area did not feel comfortable, the barman dissapeared often and the reception was on many occasions empty. We feel the cost of the food was excessive and can not understand why we were charged upgrades of £33-40 for dinner on the first night when I had Table de Hote and my wife had Soup and Ckicken in Sauce, second night Myself 1 course and my wife had 1 course Salmon with an upgrade charge of £29-90

Ample parking spaces Very pleasant staff Good (but not outstanding) food It is well placed in the town The stairways are steep and the lift is at one end of long corridors The locks on the room doors which are rim-lock key operated, do not inspire confidence

The location is good for Pitlochry and teh surrounding area The hotel is in need of a makeover. The room we had was cramped and the bathroom not very clean. The breakfast was, for the price, very poor and limited, and the service poor-due to a lack of staff and system.

We stayed over a bank holiday weekend when the staff were obviously under pressure and additional reserves appeared to be on duty. What they lacked in finesse they made up for in friendliness.

Very clean and scottish looking! A few parts of the hotel could do with a lick of paint though. The night porter was extremly helpful!!! The corridors were dark and plain looking.

Location is excellent for walking anywhere in town , theatre etc. Room although small was clean and comfortable and very warm Reception was extremely offhand. Arrived early and was vaguely directed to a room where luggage could be stored. Left without passing reception again and retrieved luggage later with no sign of security. On check in no mention was made of lesiure facilities , newspaper etc. Food pretty basic choice for dinner. Breakfast ok. Service fast with little finesse.

We liked the fact that we could take our dog. The dog liked the waiter as he gave her a sausage, the staff were very nice. The hotel's location was close to the town centre for shopping. The hotel has a lovely pool and gym. The breakfast was very nice. The bed was a bit hard. The room was nice but pity it had not been a little larger.

Good location in the center of the town. Really good full scottish breakast with good choice of all different things. Swimming pool ideal to have some relax. Nice room and bathroom We definitly preferred all the b&b we stayed in. Moreover the room was really little. 70 gbp is a little bit expensive.

An excellent hotel with first class facilities. The allocated room was superb. All staff were very friendly and the restaurant service and cuisine was exceptional. Lack of evening entertainment, especially with so many guests in residence.

The rooms were clean, pleasant and functional. The location was very good for the centre of Pitlochry. The staff were very attentive and hard working. Steam room was cold. Swimming pool was ok but no good for serious swimmers. The public toilet areas were not clean. There was a thick layer of dirt on the dining room window sills. The decor of the corridors was shabby.

We found the staff at the hotel very friendly, and the location for visiting the town and surrounding area excellent. We arived on my birthday and the room we were allocated was very small! more a single room and not enough room to swing a cat! the bedroom window would only open a couple of inches so room was stuffy. i was rather upset at the bedroom being the size of a box that i complained. they were fully booked and could not move us til the following day. when we were moved the room was larger and much more comfortable. but i was rather annoyed as to why the rooms can be so different when they are all charged at the same price?? the lady at reception was very kind and gave me the keys of 2 rooms so that i could choose which room i wanted. Our weekend away was spoiled as we did not sleep well the night before as the bed was uncomfortable, the room was stuffy, the noise from the street went well into the early hours and then we had to pack and unpack again!! there were executive rooms (I did not see them on the website?) you had to pay for an upgrade which i was willing to do? but there were none available.
