The location & friendly service were excellent
Our only disappointment was that the dinner main courses were below par. The rest of the dinner & cooked breakfast were good.
The room was excellent as was the location. The service was quite good.
We had to wait an hour to get checked in because of arriving early. No effort to compromise. Some of the meals were expensive for what was offered.
Location, friendly staff
The Mill is in a quiet setting, good food and attentive staff. Fried bread to die for.
Room was a bit small but okay for a short stay.
Lovely spot, quiet and peaceful. Food was very good
Beds could of done with a duvet not sheets and blanket but that's just my preference
The situation was idyllic and the gardens were wonderful. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a very interesting building.. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable.
The only comment would be that the room was rather low but to be expected due to the former use of the building
Set in a lovely location, rooms well appointed. Good service from all the staff.
Gardens. Staff (with exception of manager) pleasant.
Size of room Not possible to read in bed Furnishings Situation of rooms on top Floor No cooling in very hot space Bathrooms - way outdated Breakfast - very poor selection of cold foods/cereals etc In need of paint-job inside and out Manager needs to improve his customer service approach
Very convenient for exploring the Norfolk coast by car. Peaceful rustic atmosphere, Ample parking. Good weather was a bonus.
The beds were very uncomfortable - not helpful if you have a back problem. The needs of the residents were neglected when there was a dinner party. Poor ventilation in rooms. I sound like a grumpy old man - maybe more suitable for younger people!
1.Very hospitable and helpful staff. 2.Superb cooked breakfast. 3.Peaceful setting with a babbling brook. 4.Spacious room with all the usual amenities. 5.Strong wifi.
Very soft and springy mattresses with little support (Twin Room 1). I woke up twice having slid to the edge of the bed. It was only the fact that my head touched the bedside cabinet that I didn't slide onto the floor! This was the only minor issue in what was a very pleasant stay.
Location Food Staff
Same menu every day.........Even the "Specials" board choices did not change so may as well have been added to the main menu. It would be nice to see more changes to provide a wider variety of choice.
lovely location, clean, friendly, nice food, efficient
Very overpriced for a tiny box room and poky single bed with my feet dangling over the end... £85, if only a travelodge or premier inn were closer that would be far better value. Landlord not interested in any feedback. Proceed with caution.
The location was superb
The owners were not over friendly but very efficient. The outside could have done with a bit of a spouse-up.
Friendly and efficient staff, peace and quiet (apart from the one aeroplane), interesting building and great food.
Beautiful location and excellent service and wonderful breakfast
Only stayed one night
Excellent location, peaceful and relaxing. Lovely garden and stream. Polite and helpful staff. Nicely cooked breakfast, one of the best we have had compared to other hotel breakfasts.
Musty and damp smell when we first entered our room and sewage smell in bathroom. Our request for a double bed was two single beds pushed together, therefore this made for an uncomfortable ridge in the middle of the bed. Tired internal décor in room and bathroom.
Rural & peaceful location (until the overnight aircraft exercises started!!)
Being charged for a premium room when we only booked a standard twin room - although I believe that we were the only guests.
Beautiful tranquil location, easy access to local roads but seemingly remote. Delicious breakfast.
WiFi a bit flakey
Friendliness of staff, quiet location and good food.
food was good staff was nice and friendly
not much to do after eating no entertainment or anywhere to sit after your meals only a small reception area.
Cleanliness and comfort superb; the staff couldn't have been better - we were made to feel so welcome, even to the point of offering a choice of venue for our dinner. Breakfast excellent, freshly prepared with hot toast and lovely coffee. We didn't feel able to comment on the dinner (same menu choices both nights) as at home we grow all our own produce and always cook from scratch, so the pub food was a bit strange for us.
All bedrooms two floors up under the eaves and I should have brought a hard hat! Nothing serious to dislike.
The food was very good
Beds are uncomfortable
It was a good location and close to an event in the area that I attended. The breakfast was wonderful and the grounds were very picturesque.
Poor lighting in bedrooms for reading. Walls a bit thin.Adjoining bathroom clearly audible!
