The location of the hotel is good, its near the river and short walk to town and the castle
The room although renovated it is not in tip top condition
The hotel is well located bedside the river, and has a large outdoor terrace. Rooms are nicely decorated, and the staff is well trained and helpful.
Location Very friendly and helpful staff Restaurant
up the stairs and round the corner etc
The room was in another building
The bed was comfy Location was good.
Shower was dated Room was dirty Room was small Needs a lick of paint Bar staff couldn't make a cocktail
On arrival, was told there were no rooms, due to them over booking. They fobbed us off with a lesser hotel with next to no apologises. Ended up moving again due to poor alternative. Very poor customer service.
Very cheerful and helpful staff but in a comfortable low key manner. Very comfortable room (club room) and enjoyable breakfasts.
Only the bill!!!!!
Central location Quiet area Free internet
No lift to get to room
It was good
It was good
The location and view from the breakfast was very nice
The hotel is very creaky, When you standanywhere in your room and shift your weight the floor creaks loudly - and that means you hear other rooms doing it too. Also my room was above the kitchen - so several times a minute you would here the room bang - luckily I was only here one night
The location for the Sir Christopher Wren hotel cannot be beaten, for a short stay in Windsor. Advice if driving best to book early for a space, alternatively you can park at the station only a couple hundred yards away for just £10 per weekend.
Excellent location, staff very friendly
Got a stiff kneck watching t.v
Location was ideal, staff great, food very good.
Asked for quiet room got one over reception, noisy each night at 3am, Spa Bath in the room did not work, reported fault first day but no feed back.
The breakfast was excellent
the wifi was a bit patchy.
If I am in the area it would be my first and only choice to stay
Fantastic location - only c. 5 minutes to the castle and various restaurants. Very clean and extremely comfortable. Staff very helpful and welcoming.
Nothing really, apart from the breakfast cost (c. £16) - very dear if you only want cereal and toast, although there are alternatives nearby that are cheaper.
Staff at the Christopher Wren were courteous and very pleasant. We had a very nice evening meal from their set menu which was good value. Hotel clean and comfortable. Great location in the centre of Windsor.
The only grumble was it was noisy outside during the night and early morning hours, our room being very close to the bridge.
Air con in the room Nice waiting staff-- especially Polish guy called Lukas but all very polite and helpful--delicious crisp, fat chips with my room service sandwich
Quality of breakfast--fatty bacon/bland buffet and hassle of moving from place to place to finally assemble breakfast-- in peeling tiny butter tubs
Friendly helpful staff and perfect location. Nice room although wonky floors but we loved the kookieness of that. Room 33 up in the attic really but with a view of the River Thames.
Carpet in room is obviously not vaccumed every day as it was dirty with clumps of hair under the table, which did not belong to me or my husband. Breakfast was disappointing. Although the food was good the service was poor as they were extremely busy and they struggled to cope with the demand. To be fair I think they were short staffed which didn't help.
Evening meal, breakfast
Bed so uncomfortable, very mismatched standard of accommodation, very pricey just not good.
Freindly and helpful staff, fresh and clean room, marvellous art works and window pane
I stayed on a Friday night, with the window open for fresh air it was a little noisy, however the bed was so comfy that I slept well
The best night sleep ive had in years!
Well located, friendly helpful staff, lovely room.
Price of drinks.
Good location, good spa treatments,
Asked when we checked in if breakfast was included, they said yes, but we got the breakfast in the morning and was told we had to pay. After speaking to the reception this was sorted....however it happened all over again the next morning.
location, location, location. the staff was superlative in all matters
