The reception staff and the chap who took our bags up, we're lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect, excellent value, given the location. Spa had minimal facilities, still had a great time though.

The terrace overlooking the river and our room which also overlooked the river. Afternoon tea with prosecco overlooking the river was wonderful. Parking was a bit of a nuisance but it didn't spoil it.

Nice setting and location on the river, and nice common areas. Good breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Room itself was very dated, and not in a quaint way. Could have been cleaner too. Overall, the accommodation badly lets it down.

Lovely hotel and location. Lovely reception staff, had a fab massage. Very much like a rabbit warren with lots of stairs and doors, being it is such an old building. Fire alarm went off at 8am which woke us up with a start (false alarm thankfully). Shower could have been lot stronger, not much pressure, and no bath apart from a sit in one. No air con, just a stand alone fan cooler in the room so got rather hot.

The location in Windsor and the setting on the Thames. As is the case with most single rooms in all hotels all over the world, the amenities and the luxuries are not the same as for occupants of double rooms. This has nothing to do with the Sir Christopher Wren - it is a global tendency which makes one feel as though a single traveller is less important.

Sir Christopher Wren is a very quaint hotel. We were made to feel extremely welcome. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Windsor. Close to the trainlines into London and with very nice places to eat and drink on the doorstep. The rooms in the Nook are modern, and spotless! Very well decorated and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. So much choice and delicious! Unfortunately the main building was being renovated so there was lots of scaffolding. This is only a short-term thing although it did spoil the exterior view of the building. We weren't warned in advance.

Its location beside the river. Our room was a little noisy fron the room above. Weassumed it was because that room had hardwood flooring. We could hear every footstep.

It is not far from the river, main restaurants, so it has certain advantage. The room 85 is in the annex and is awful: It is very humid (and the room smells badly), the bathroom bath front seems in repairs) and close to a main road (so get drunk people at night waking you up). We were extremely disappointed.

The staff were fantastic- on arrival our allocated room did not have a bath which we had requested and so we were moved to another room. We ate in the river facing restaurant one night and had a fabulous meal.we can recommend the gymn and spa facilities as well- very relaxing. Our Wedding Anniversary stay was very special and we would certainly recommend this hotel and will return again.

Night porter was polite. Cobwebs, dirty carpet, damp paint, screw holes in walls, curtains did not work, window did not open, ground floor so no natural ventilation, cupboard door did not close, cupboard too narrow to take normal coat hangers, chair cover dirty, sink cracked, bath cracked, no modern mixer on the hot supply so easy for elderly or young to scold them selves, bathroom door damaged, paintwork in poor condition, dreadful pillows so couldn't sleep and no alternatives were provided. I was in room 81 (never again) and my daughter in room 56 (also dreadful...old, looked like something from Faulty Towers...no heating, wiring visible, plugs all over the place, cupboard was just a hole in the wall with a door, couldn't open it because of the TV...need I go on?

The location is V.good. Some of the staff were pleasant. Parking is very restrictive. Meals (especially breakfast) are below standard for a 4* hotel. No lift! Room is tired and very stuffy. House- keeping is poor. Our room had no running hot water, a bulb had blown and there was a half-eaten biscuit under a piece of furniture. Room service tariff is too dear; small squash and a beer=£10.00

Nice big room, ease of parking and location. Good tv plenty of channel selection, good wi-fi. The room was in an annex and the view was the underside of the outside stairs. Heard every footstep from the room upstairs (quite noisy). The wc was in the wet room which never dried out.
